I really wish I went with the invictus plans, they're so much more complete than the ones I purchased. Looking absolutely amazing anyways, I went down the electronics route first, but it's easy to lose the ambition I've found this way, I think having the frame built and painted sat there is definitely a big bonus for making progress.
Looks great, but I think I would've installed all the panels and wired it *before* mounting the exterior skin. I don't see a good way to get access into the electronics spaces once the skin is installed, and as additional panels get added in, your access will get more and more restricted.
I thought about that, but 1) I wanted to finish with the woodwork & paint as doing it later with all the electronics/interior in would have made it more difficult 2) there are access panels that are removable in the nose section and on the inner side of the console that I can use to handle the electronics ;)
@@The_ViperProject I doubt that painting only the exterior after finishing the electronics would have been more difficult; you would do it just like a big (1:1) scale model: tape a mask across the entire rim of the cockpit, and spray the whole thing. The inside of the skin could be painted prior to mounting it in. Either way works, if you're comfortable with the amount of room the access panels give you
Amqzing progress brother. You, Warthog, and Hornetproject are definitely providing the community great content and lessons learned. Thank you

Very jealous, but super happy for your progress! Thanks for sharing your project!
Thanks for watching!
Looking fantastic! I have cockpit plans from a different designer, but looking at yours wish I'd gone in a different direction.
Looks great!
Fantastic!

@@The_ViperProject So say we all 🤓
Davvero stupendo complimenti!
Looking slick!
the aluminium backplates look great although on the real panels there is less color difference
thanks! I might cover them with a layer of paint in the future to tone down that difference ;)
