(5000 Subscriber Special) Waste Management 410048 ~ Freightliner FL112 G&H Rolloff

- First thanks to every one of you who subscribe to me and for helping me get to 5000 subscribers. My first video was uploaded on Aug 5, 2011 and was a Waste Management MSL Which have mostly all been transfered to different yards and are very scarce and I thought it was fitting for my 5000 sub video to be this truck a Freightliner FL112 G&H Rolloff , these rolloffs are also getting scarce with WM Buying new Mack Granites to replace the old Freightliners and Macks.
Onto the truck, I followed this truck from one of Republics transfer stations in Peabody, Ma to a Home Depot in Reading Ma and swapped compactors.
glad not my truck this guy is driving, terrible way show how to put mega stress on pistons moving truck with bin hanging off bed up 3/4 way up, pull the load up before moving truck put lots stain on roll off pistons, if your going to teach someone do it right ??????
..yes, he's going to lose a box off the rails doing that, not to even mention driving around with the rails raised is against WM policy.

As a rolloff operator of 16 years, I've got to say, he done just about everything wrong. Dude need remedial training. Very hard on the equipment. At least nobody got hurt in this video. SMFH

Great job in a sense. As a safety director for many years in the past, I would highly recommend leaving the cable hooked up to the can raising your rails just off the ground so you don't hurt the asphalt or the concrete always have control of the container when you push it back into the packer unit. I would never let go of that can. You could have icy weather things like that. Just make sure of your surroundings, low wires, buildings, etc. All kinds of things come into play as well, but you should never, in my opinion, push a can in the middle of the can with your rails down. All that does is damage the front of the container. Seeing holes in the front of the can is very aggravating to the owner of those cans for any company, plus they just plain look ugly. 😊
This has to be an example of what not to do during a switch. Been doing rolloff for 8 years, and this was exhausting to watch.
Do you empty the bins yourself or do you bring it to a disposal site and leave?
@@monsterhippo7529 What do you mean? We do switches and dump and returns. Is that what you are asking?
@@Phlacc yeah like do you dump the trash yourself when you get to the dumps... I seen people hauling asbestos before and wondered how that was gonna get disposed cause you can’t dump it or seal it yourself or they would be exposed to it.
@@monsterhippo7529 Well, abestos has to be handled differently. As for just regular trash and what not, of course we dump it ourselves. Which is pretty easy for a rolloff driver.

How much does the roll off drivers in mass get for this company? A hour and are all these truck automatic now?
Christopher Walch They start out at $18.00 an hour. The CNG’s are automatic, but all of the Mack’s and Freight liners are all Manual transmission.

If i was applying for waste management would residential or roll off be better. I dont know if they would consider me for roll off. Because the only experience I have is operating a front and rear loader concrete mixer, Tri axle and centipede dump experience, boom truck and piggyback truck experience and tractor trailer experienced

Congrats dude! Awesome find, never really had FL112 roll offs down by me but I always thought they looked good. And I always enjoy seeing Rochester trucks (assuming this is a transfer to the local yard in MA though?). Much respect to roll off drivers out there, I really think that's the most difficult line of business to work.
Thanks, No its from Rochester, it's not a transfer. My yard has 3 Freightliners 2 M2106s and 1 FL112 one of the M2106s is the dedicated bagster truck

wow congrats on 5k! it was like just last year you were at only a few hundred around when I subbed at only a couple hundred. That is what happens when you post weekly content that is great. I know I have watched some videos many times because they are just that addicting. Great Job Nick!
As a 15 year owner operator of fleet of 14 trucks, I dont know where to start from.SMH .. Maybe he is new and is nervous from the filming??? Or! This is the training he gets from WM that is run by Book worms from behind the desks that has never been on single route.
Everything he did was disturbing to me. A lot of mistakes, carelessness and “Thinks He knows it all” Just because he works for WM. Lol
I have long time friends that drive for WM and complain about how stupid the operation is run by corporate style managers.
