    Siri, your green curry paste looks fabulous! I can almost taste it! I've heard of Kefir limes before, but I have not yet seen them in the supermarket. I'll look again. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us!

    • @SpoonForkHeart
      @SpoonForkHeart  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +FitAnge S If you're going to use it within a couple of days then just put it in the fridge. But if you're going to need to keep it longer, then air tight zip lock bags and freezer is your best option.

      Kaffir lime leaves are sometimes also known as Makrut lime leaves in other parts of the world. I don't know of a good substitute for these leaves. Luckily they grow naturally where I am from so I have always had them around.

    • @SpoonForkHeart
      @SpoonForkHeart  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TwoChainzzanaWang You probably would not want to eat it off of the spoon, it would still be raw. It is used mostly as a cooking base or a cooking paste.... so any curry dish that you were going to make could use this. My next recipe (Friday) will use this green curry paste, check it out and you will see one of the ways that I use it :-)

      The flavor profile will be slightly different, but yes, you can substitute with ginger and lemon juice. The ratio is: for every 1 tablespoon of ginger that you use, add 1/8 teaspoon of lemon juice.

    Swahadee kap Siri, I use food processor same same you but I find my dry ingredients do not blend. I add water to help but it becomes too runny and not a thick paste. Can you help please 5555. Thank you

    • @SpoonForkHeart
      @SpoonForkHeart  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sawadee ka. Thanks for the question Steven. Did you blend the dry ingredients into a powder first, and then add them to your curry paste in the steps I have in the video? It's important to blend/grind your dry ingredients such as your coriander, cumin, salt and pepper. If you grind them into a fine powder then they should absorb into the curry paste as you are blending the fresh vegetables and herbs together.

    • @stevenxa3956
      @stevenxa3956 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Swahadee kap, I was taught in Chiang mai to pound galangal, garlic, chillies, shallots all the dry ingredients with a pestal and mortar. As you said on your video to do a big batch it would take too long. So one day I think of food processor and blend dry ingredients first but it doesn't work. You're the first video I seen on TH-cam that uses food processor and I see you have results that's why I think why didn't mine come out the same as yours
