Anytime bud! Summer can be tough out there. Good thing we are starting to get hydrilla again. That will make it easier. Heck yeah that’s awesome. Glad you were able to apply this information and get some results.

Anytime bud! Gosh I do too!
Pros, locals and pro-staff guys ALWAYS lie!!! It’s just ridiculous that everything is so secretive.
That last video I made “how to find brush piles” upset several locals. I caught a little backlash from it but I don’t care. No one else is teaching this around the area.
Me too! I like seeing everyone have some success on the water.

@@lanceduff lol of course their upset. But im sure they weren't upset when someone showed them how to do it or where to catch some fish and have fun.

@@4K_Fishing I completely agree!!! Only a handful of people have learned this on their own. Vast majority like myself were taught. I like seeing everyone have fun and catching fish. Especially the young people.

Great info. It used to be a lot of tournies were won way up above the bridge. Is that not true anymore? Haven’t been to Toledo in a long time.

Most definitely!!!! I know there are gonna be some guys mad about that split tail worm 😂.
There are still some won up past the bridge but it’s more in the early part of the year and late winter. the water also has to be up in the bushes or they’re fishing grass. With the grass and pads gone those fish leave the bank after they get done spawning.
You can catch a few but it’s nothing like it use to be.
The grass is growing in some areas but it’s a little here and a little there. I miss the days when it would matt to the top of the water in 25’
Definitely come back on out! It’s fishing better than it had been recently. Right now you’ll need good electronics to find them offshore. Those fish roam the woods and chase the Shad schools constantly during the summer. Towards the end of summer the dock bite will pick up.

I’m fishing on the north end just south of Logansport . Other than throwing frogs in the lily pads do you have any suggestions on fishing the river ? Do the same deep tactics work on the river like at mid lake ? I’m assuming not since the water is much more stained . Thanks

    • @lanceduff

Hey bud! On the river itself my rule is always fish the obvious and power fish it. Keep it simple.
If you can find slack water near current it’s usually game on!
Definitely pitch and flip all available log jams and lay downs with either jigs, Tx rig beaver style baits or 7” Tx rig worms. Plum ALWAYS works for me in the summer months.
Usually river fishing is mainly shallow fishing up against the shoreline because of the current and dirty water colors.
Also the chartreuse colored square bills are incredible up that far. If you see Shad add a small spinner bait to your line up. 1/4oz size is perfect!
Let me know how you do! I do plan on filming up that way this year.

@@lanceduff we had 8 lbs . We only caught fish on frogs in the grass / lillypads . The guys that won had 20lbs and fished frogs all day west of circle drive , LA.
It was super frustrating because we could see fish deep in the river channel on livescope but never could get them to bite the spoons, little George , blade baits , jigs or Texas rigs . We still have a lot to learn !

@@Michaeldpress14 that frog bite around circle drive can be incredible! Fishing in general in that area is fantastic when you find them. Definitely don’t get discouraged. The deep water river fish are so hard to catch. Like you said you can see them and they ain’t doing nothing. I’ve felt my baits bump them before and they won’t respond. For whatever reason that shallow power fishing tends to work a little better. You’ll get it down! Definitely keep practicing and you’ll get good I promise

@@zacktrahan2864 that is great!!!! I remember flipping 1oz jigs in high line and catching some monster bass when that grass was matted to the top. I sure miss those days. I’d love to see the grass like that again.
