Great action there! Not many lakes on the west coast with white bass! The only place I've caught them was at lake Norfork on the Missouri Arkansas border, in the early spring! Thanks for sharing
Right on Capt B and crew. That is a lot of catching. Capt B will get you into fish. I fished along side him for salmon in the American River in the past. Super fun. Great video. Happy Easter! 👍🙏🎣⚒

Been wondering what happened to my favorite angling couple…glad to see y’all back on the water together and catching again. I’ve never tasted white bass so please comment on how they compare with crappie as table fare and the importance of properly caring for them after catching. Lastly, any recommendations for lodging in that area…hotel/motel/AirBnB? Welcome back to the airways!
I think the white bass is almost the same as crappie. The rule for the lake is you must dispatch the fish by cutting the gill or taking the head off if you’re keeping it or release immediately. Not sure about lodging, but we camped at the lake it was only $45 a night.

Yes they do have mercury, so does a lot of Ca lakes. Just limit yourself. We give a lot of our fish away.

We were using notorious custom jig in shad color 2”. My nephew made some 1oz jig that looked like shad and painted them white so no name. Thanks.

Yes you can fish over night if you’re camping there.
