The bass move all over this lake chasing bait and it can be day to day. I would look at rocky points and rocky areas. Rocky bluff walls can be really good. The spotted bass are spawning and rocks are some of the main areas for spawning. I keep an eye on my sonar for bait fish and fish in those areas. Yesterday I did well at the entrance of Las Tables. Great seeing you smiling and spin rod bent Dalton. Thanks for keeping all of us informed and up to date. I do have a question? day use and daily boat fee on web site have gone up a lot. Is that what your finding at the gate?
Thank you, great to be back on the water. Not sure what they fees are, they change throughout the year. I pay annually due to fishing out there so much.
Good to see you out there again on the water and catching fish. Dalton, I am in the market to replace my bow mount electric trolling motor. Any suggestions? Thanks
I've always done well with minn kota. I have the terrova for the spot lock. If your looking for the spot lock feature the terrova is for smaller boats and the ultrex for bigger boats.
I live in the central valley. I want to try fishing this lake. What entrance do I take? what area should I try fishing? I'm fishing with a 14 foot boat loaded with two trolling motors.
There is only one public entrance. 10625 Nacimiento Lake Drive Bradley, CA 93426. The spotted bass chase bait. Look for bait on your graph. The primary cover is rock. Rocky points, bluff walls. As we get past the spawn the flats are great for top water. Here is a map of the lake. www.californiasgreatestlakes.com/nacimiento/lake_nacimiento_map.html
Thanks for the report. Good tips, pretty sure I will buy that bait..

@@DRWBassFishing thank u much for the info, will definitely look into it.
Nice video dalton. New subscriber here. You should try putting in the description the gear & tackle you use!💯
Thank you, I will start adding that to the description.
Looks like fun. Do the white bass spawn about the same time as the spots and crappie?
I'm pretty sure they do. I don't know that species as well.
Awesome job, just curious any white bass action yet?
Haven't caught any yet, but with the water warming up shouldn't be long.
Thanks
Getting better! How do you retrieve the swim bait. Just a slow, steady pull?
Yes slow and steady. I control the depth with my rod tip.

I think I'm gonna go bank it there saturday
I fished out there many times from the bank. Sometimes I had to move a lot but caught some nice fish. Hope you have a great day.
@@DRWBassFishing When they are really pushing up pre spawn it can be great fishing from shore!
Can you catch and keep ? We going to lake nacimiento camping at the same time and do you need a license to fish on short
Fishing license is required on shore or boat. I'm catch and release, not sure what the rules are.
