I love her as well as my family and her voice because she is also one of those singers that just draws you in no matter what you are doing at the time and she comes on the radio or on a show...you know instantly it is her and you just want to stop and watch her. WoW! Christina by far has the best "vocals"l in years! She deserves an award for "perfect vocal". It's painful to know that she has been pushed aside by"today's" one hit wonders... that our culture has settled on. Today's music "vocal" is least important and as long as you have a beat, a stupid verse, and unfortunately an "ugly image"... you are guaranteed a hit. As a singer/producer I can absolutely confirm that the footage is 100 edited to please the eye, but a lot of it is actually taken during her singing live. You can tell by the veins on her neck and slight tension in some parts which are completely natural given the strength of her tone and the energy she exudes even by simply standing. Plus, you can really tell the vocals are authentically recorded in one (if not maybe only two) sessions. Incredible performance.
I just think the runs are unnecessary and don’t serve the song well. It’s about the song and the melody. The added notes are truly unnecessary. I don’t say any of this to be unfairly rude or critical because I truly love Christina and always have. I just wish artists would keep it a little bit more simple and not do so many unnecessary runs because it just doesn’t serve the songs well.
Yes, it's super edited like everything today. My only critique here is the excessive reverb! Why so much, she ends up too enveloped! We all know she's a pro but also a perfectionist. So she probably recorded one take and then another one just to have material to choose from. It also helps a lot to have extra footage for the video people!

I’m a ‘81 born so I was like 19-20. Her looks changed but her voice is so good, it’s amazing she sounds just like the CDs. It’s so amazing that I cry. She should work with a Broadway vocal teacher, help bring some more restraint than she’s already using, happy to hear it here with some vibrato too! But some of her belting still sounds so shouty ‘reflecTIOOAN’ more closed vowels would sound prettier. But she had her style so doesn’t matter I guess

To me, she does real belcanto in original, big voice, very resonant pitch perfect, every voice has a total expression, like a dramatic painting
