You're right, there wasn't a full title sequence in episode one, it was like that in the first season too. And yes, it looks like a tree is being formed in the grains, but it also looks like the 3, 7 and 9 rings joined together by the one.
Tolkien wrote different versions of the Blue Wizards. In both versions, they are sent to the East (i.e. Rhun, where the Stranger is headed). In one version, they showed up around the same time Gandalf and the rest did, and one or both of them fell into darkness, founding magic cults. In another version, they show up earlier (potentially even in the second age), and work against Sauron. They succeed in turning hearts and minds away from evil, and the implication is that Sauron's easterling forces are smaller in number as a result, and the West is able to withhold them at the battle of the Pelennor fields. If I were to guess, Amazon is trying to split the difference between these two accounts by having one wizard follow the "founding magic cults" path and the other follow the "turning hearts and minds away from evil" path.
It's just Gandalf and Saruman dude 🤣😜 na one thing we felt in the movies is Gandalf is God like and knows pretty much everything. The flashes in his dream are something I can't wait more for and this show might just explain how Gandalf knows little flashes like to spare Gollums life, Sam to stay with Frodo and What Merry and Pippin would do with the Ents. So in the Fellowship I now have the knowledge that Gandalf sees the last frame/picture of himself in his dream/vision ending in Khazad-Dum so he didn't want to take that path of his visions. Seems he can only guide people to stay on the course of the right vision is what I'm tryna say. This show is superb when it comes to secrets and mystery boxing and Amazon out Tolkien'd everyone. None of you knew the Gods of the sea were at play and that blonde leader of the Nasgals being a Maiar, Amazon can't create there own so guess the Maiar? 😜 Where is Theo's Dad, Isildur's brother and Celeborn?. Who will be witch King? How did the Hilt get to Waldreg's Barn? I could go on and on I'm not joking 😂 I love this series it's a 10/10 for me because I love the work it's made me do like deep diving in theories and I've been stuck in the Second age for a couple months now nd I've never been happier 🤣
@@pigskinpoetry I do, yeah. It was the introduction of Ciaran Hinds' character that convinced me we're looking at the Blues here. These showrunners are taking liberties but I really don't think they would make him Saruman. Saruman's fall happened way later and is well documented. Even in terms of just the films, Saruman was on the White Council during the Hobbit, fighting against Sauron.
@@Martin-bf3by Just wanted to preface this by saying it wouldn't be the end of the world for me if the ROP Istari are Gandalf and Saruman--I'd be totally OK with it. But I don't think that's what the show is doing. I *was* leaning towards the stranger being Gandalf at the end of season 1, but Season 2 has me back on the Blue wizard bandwagon because: 1. They are both in Rhun 2. Saruman's turn to evil happened late in the third age
@@JoshChambers ok I agree with everything and it is definitely shades of the blue wizards story or path shall we say. But according to the lore and I need you to correct me on this cos I'm not sure. Doesn't Gandalf say that out of all the Wizards..only Saruman strays to darkness or something like that so this show could be telling us he strayed more than once..this isnt Saruman 'The White' yet is the vibe I'm getting and Gandalf probably gets the choice to either become White and stay in Solitude in IsenGard for example or be what he comes to be. I'm gna sound like a idiot if they're blue I'll be gutted..they made me tear up when they followed his nose so to take that away now..that would hurt more than what happened to Bronwyn.
Amazing Season 1 and now Season 2 is killing it
I'm really enjoying it. I think my favorite part is Sauron manipulating Celebrimbor.
Thank you so much for these great reactions! It's nice to see someone else as excited as I am about RoP! This season has been fantastic so far 🤗
I agree. Thanks for spending the time with me.
great reaction!
Thanks. What are you excited about in the show?

Ah, that makes sense.

This info helps a lot. So do you think Ciaran Hinds' character and the stranger are the two blues?
