      Too expensive! 🤣😂. Most are hideous and the price? I don’t care if they are made of silk! Lol. I don’t want someone’s name all over the bag! It begs look at me and who I am. Style is not a name! It is a look!

    I really like how you’ve kept the picture of the bag throughout the time you were talking about it. I’ve come across with so many videos where people talks about the bag and insert the picture for like 3 seconds 🤣

    Buying handbags is my fantasy/ideal version purchase. In reality, I use a bag all of two times before going back to my ratty backpack which keeps me hands free and suits my lifestyle. Watching your videos is me living out my fantasy without having to regret my purchases.

    I think seeing unboxing of items that you're going to return can be refreshing, especially if you're giving your honest opinions about it and not just pretending you're going to keep it.

      I would love a Chanel Tweed classic flap just for evenings; kicking myself for not getting the black and white one which I think was only a year or two ago. Glad to know yours has worn well. May you enjoy her for many more years.

      Yes please. I remember when you bought the LV Pochette Metis and very quickly sold it. The reason you gave for why it wouldn’t fit your lifestyle convinced me that it would fit mine perfectly. That video was so helpful that I now have two of them. It really is helpful to know why someone either sells or returns a bag. The same thing happened with a Tori Burch bucket bag that another TH-camr bought and returned. That is now firmly on my wish list.

    When I was in high school, Louis Vuitton was the only luxury brand I knew and I remember going to their site and checking out the key cle key pouch, it was only $100 back then but I remember telling myself I would never own it, it’s too much money. 10 years later, I’ve gotten more into the luxury world and still wanting that pouch but now it cost $400 AND it’s also now hard to find, and preloved market sells them over retail. So that’s my one luxury piece I wish I had gotten 😂

    I purchased a Garden Party (any color available so a green which is not me at all) online from Hermes without ever seeing any Hermes bag up close, and OMG the leather is just on another level! The color is so vibrant and butterly soft - I not only kept it but bought a matching silk scarf and later on the same bag in dark blue - LOVE them both and use them when I feel my Neverfull is not dressy enough. Also use them for grocery shopping, they still look brand new. So a tip - get your hands on one, theres a reason they are pricey.. I still love LV and Chanel but now I also love Hermes!💗

    The LV multi pouchette is really cute when I finally found it in stock I was thrilled and then changed my mind. Not even really sure why... Then I bought the Prada version and returned it the next day. I think I didn’t like having so many pouches hanging off me!

    Thank you for sharing your thought process, Amy. At these prices, we really have to think about price per wear if we are being prudent with our money. I have the damier azur bucket with blue trim. I have worn it so much, because of my wardrobe and lifestyle. I am in Hawaii, so it is def a year round bag. I wear light wash blue jeans and cotton tops mostly, and like to be hands free, so it works well for me here.

    For all bag lovers just wanted to say be more cautious about wearing brand bags out recently in London, it has been not very safe, I just got my bag stolen and a few people I know got their bags/wallets/phones/watch robbed. I’m aware there were always cases like this before covid but now it’s more dangerous so if you can resist not wearing expensive things out maybe hold back for some time. But of course at the end of the day it’s everyone’s own freedom to wear whatever they want, I just hope I can alert a few people from my own experience.

    • @ChaseAmie

    I made many expensive mistakes before I learned my lesson, which is "buy bags for the life you live, not one you wish you had". I've nearly gone down the LV rabbit hole a few times but it just didn't make any sense for me in the end.

    My mom got her FIRST designer bag recently, and she decided to go with LV Capucines! I personally think that Capucines are suited for women in 40s and up because it’s such an elegant bag!

    This was great! Price increases def add to regret. Btw, I appreciate the refusal to do videos on returns. It feels a bit shady to me when folks buy what they’re planning to return and make a video before doing so. Like buying for content, using, and returning. It will be someone else’s bag, using it as minimally as possible for their sake feels considerate. Thanks for your integrity. ❤️

  • @sdsunny6
    @sdsunny6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don’t think The LV Capicines BB is a top handle, it’s more a should/crossbody bag becos of the strap. It’s my favourite bag in my collection, my daily bag. I have the MM but it’s so heavy, It was only my executive bag. the BB holds a surprisingly good amount and the top handle is more a compliment to the use rather than a sole purpose. I love it.

    I am on the same page as you regarding Hermes; I appreciate the quality and craftsmanship, but Chanel has my heart. Every season has me oohing and ahhing over bags, despite my having an already fairly large collection, Chanel always hooks me 😊. So the majority of my shopping budget usually goes to Coco’s House 😁

  • @shaneebirch4608

    Aww, memories. I have the speedy watercolor bag - purchased at Saks in 2008 and swore I would never spend over $1k for a handbag. Now I pay half that every two years to replace the leather handles and piping. It’s expensive to keep up, but worth it - one of the favorites amongst my collection. Thank you for your straightforward and educational videos.

  • @EMJStyle

    The Hermes Garden Party is beautiful, great quality and price point. The size 30 is 2,500€ and the beautiful colors you see out there are hard to get. Sadly we can’t get a nice size Chanel bag at that price anymore, you should take a look at them in person, you might really like it. I do wish it had a strap.

  • @caseywong699

    Omg I can't agree with you more re: the Chanel tweed bags. I regretted not getting one years ago when the price was more affordable. Like you, I own multiple CC bags but zero Hermes bags. Not sure why but I have never pulled the trigger to start my H journey. Love this video!

    I loooove your style, but am a much more casual dresser. I’ve learned to appreciate dressier shoulder bags (anything with a chain kills my shoulders) from afar, and stick to crossbody or a tiny top handle. Thanks for the insight into your purchasing decisions!

  • @lluvbagel9875
    @lluvbagel9875 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I agree with you about Hermès bags. It’s a lovely & high quality bag but I find their bags don’t suit my style, not my vibe. It’s so expensive plus I can’t be bothered to play their game just to get a bag 😁
    Chanel is not far away in terms of price tag. So I don’t think I’ll be buying new ones. Will consider pre-loved though.

  • @jbv6584
    @jbv6584 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I regretted buying my coco handle as the strap was not long enough to wear crossbody plus never stayed up on my shoulder, so I sold it and thankfully did not loose any money - I bought the black Capucine BB and love it - I like to use the top handle to grab the bag but carry on the shoulder or crossbody. I also like the fact it is so easy to get in and out of.

  • @helsdels9324

    Get a Cappuncines BB, I love mine. I finally bought a balenciaga city bag, hated it in real life and returned it. My huge regret is returning Valentino Rockstood shoulder bag in a gorgeous pale blue suede. I returned it because I thought I wouldn't get much use out of it as it was clearly an evening bag and I already have a few evening bags. I havent been able to find a perfect blue bag since and he can't find it anywhere on the re-sale market.

My biggest regret is also the Chanel tweet flaps, every year I fight and resist to get one lol. I feel the same about Dior tote, LV mini backpack (bought it and 2 months later sold it). Can we go back to the days when people didnt consider resale value when buying a bag. In my opinion if resale value is a factor when buying a bag then you dont really love it. Thinking of selling before you even buy is a big red flag FOR ME

    I think the situation with the multi-pochette is similar to how you fared with the Chanel classic flap vs boy bag. The monogram version is too edgy for your style. However, the empreinte version really adds a classy touch to the multi-pochette which fits your style much better. Definitely a lesson for us that sometimes waiting things out can be rewarding!

    I have pulled a trigger on that LV watercolor speedy. I was able to find one in pristine condition in size 30, which is rare. I got mine on fashionphile and just love that bag!!!! I’m glad I did not buy Gucci Mormont flap. I think I would get tired of it very quickly

    My good friend at Uni told me about Chanel bags. I never paid attention to designer handbags because there was no money to even consider it. This was decades ago. I wish I had gotten a classic flap when I did have the money instead of waiting and waiting for the right time

    So many of your LV bags You mention I have the same ideas about not my style not sure how much use I would get. I don’t have the Palm Springs mini, but I constantly go back and forth. I did get the multi pochette in monogram but never use it. It’s not style I just don’t know why I don’t I think it’s because it’s too casual and I use my bags mostly for work 😩

    Yeah i absolutely have my near miss and regret too in my luxury journey. I nearly bought the LV Neoneo in Damier Ebene too ended up returning it after purchasing it online. Don't like the middle parting in it and the handbag look out of proportion. End up with the Graceful PM which i love to bits. As for the Capucines i love that too in Mini but like you said, with this pandemic don't think i will get much use out of it for now. Regret never get my Chanel classic as early as i can and now given the prices is really hard to swallow. Having say that, hope my SA will get me one Mini Top Handle, the 21S collection soon. Maybe you want to do a video on the Chanel's collections especially those like Chanel 19, Coco Handle, Trendy CC etc...I love the classic but for sure is not an everyday bag. Which Chanel handbag do you recommend if one were to purchase her first Chanel handbag? Yes, the Multi Pochette in Empreinte leather looks better on you as compared to the Monogram. Thanks for sharing.

    I think the dior book tote only works for ppl who are constantly traveling (when we could/can) and need the space/don’t need to always hold it

    I personally feel Chanel tweed bags are pretty durable. I didn’t have any pulling issues with mine, and not too easy to get dirt on, I’d say same as the leather ones. Also you take care of your bags so well I learnt how to prevent colour transfer from jeans to bag from your videos, I don’t think it’s going to be any issue for you, you should get them if you see something you really like.

      Oh my goodness, don't tempt me! 😂 Unless Chanel come out with an absolute must-have colour, I may look at the preloved market. Hopefully tweed won't sell for quite as much as leather!

    I wished that I bought the Chanel medium flap last year. The price now has increased 50% that is overwhelming crazy. Unfortunately it’s still on my wishlist:(….do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks Amee

    Lauren Conrad influenced my style in my early teenage years and still love her now and lusting after the balanciaga as well 🙈🥰

    The LV Tahitienne Speedy and matching bandeau. I did get the mini pochette but should have splurged for more from that collection.

    if you don't like the garden party, i think you should try the constance or mini lindy.

    I only buy 2.55 or classic flap in tweed because Chanel tweed is more worthy of the money because tweed especially fantasy tweed is quintessentially CHANEL 🖤🤍❤️ I want one in every colour tone 💚💙💛🧡💖 Hermes garden party is actually really elegant and easy to use but only canvas otherwise gets too heavy.

    I totally agreed with the first 2 louis vuitton and the balenciaga ones. I feel with your elegant style, those bags make your style look very rough but i super love that red Chanel boy bag on you though. That shade of red is so beautiful compared to the precious red Chanel that you had.

    Glad you got the Multipochette Accessories of your liking. I have had the one in monogram and I was surprised how much I have ended up using it. Moreover it is such a playful fun bag. 💙

    Hi Amy! I was thinking of a bag, but what do you think of price hike in luxury brands, and are they still worth getting after launch for 2years but maybe 3-4 rounds of price hikes?

    I was exactly the same with the multi pochette. Waiting is sometimes the best thing to do. I have the cream one waiting for me at the store, can’t wait to collect it. Love this type of video. 💕

    Not regret of not getting the bag that I was so close, most of the time just for one exception. Chanel SA in 🇦🇹 took out the chevron 2.55 and let me to consider few years ago. Sometimes I still thinking of that beautiful bag. That’s the only bag I didn’t buy but I wish I had at that time😢

    There are so many trending it bags I didn’t get the hype about really.
    I don’t like the DIOR book tote, or the Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette because of the same reasons you named.
    But the new Louis Vuitton Louis Vuitton empreinte Styles are all so beautiful 😍

    Garden party is fine if you don’t want to carry your B all the time. Otherwise indeed quite plain. I would rather get Chanel coco handle or H Kelly than LV capucine.
