- In today’s video I show you how to move apps and games to your phone’s SD card. Many people run out of storage on their phones because of all the games and apps that they have installed. Luckily, you can utilize your SD card for extra storage which really comes in handy when your phone is running out of space. Follow all of my instructions and you should have enough space for all your games and apps.

My phone doesn't have that "change storage" option nor the possibility to set the SD card as internal. Xiaomi Redmi6A with Android 8.1
It only moves the storage of the app and not all data and cache

Some options are not available in my phone, maybe under a different tab or whatever, but when I press the Build number, developer option were enabled and I am in heaven after that. ❤ thank you!

If you run A LOT of apps off of your Additional MicroSD card (via the slot) you added later here is what WILL happen to that MicroSD card and the Apps on it is the MicroSD card will stop being read by the phone and you will be FORCED to format the card. After enough formats done to that card after about 2 years or so that card will stop being readable completely from all the heat and reformatting and writing being done to it.
It only takes about 4-6 months of heavy use before those tiny cards that run apps off of them will need a fresh reformatting as they do get very very HOT when you run apps from them. There is NO heat dissipation off of addin MicroSD cards like the Internal Storage one has. Before you tell people HOW to do this maybe you should take the time tell them WHY they should do this and the consequences of lost data and time to repair this process.
Put ONLY your personal images, videos and documents and ONLY INFREQUENTLY used Apps on that Additional Storage card and NOT your main apps you use everyday. Buyer Beware of videos like this that teach the wrong things to do to your phone and then you are without a phone.

I found this link from your other video. I'm glad to see this as it's a Samsumg I'm planning to buy. THanks for the clear instructions but I do have a question. Can we use the apps from the memory card or do they have to be transferred back to internal storage for use?

I just noticed I dont have developer options. But I noticed feature from guys page in video.
I do have developer options. There are just under a different title. And some apps wont give option to load to sd.
When you figure all this out.you dont need a cellphone with a lot of ram.when I use editing apps,they take up internal storage..now I should be able to transfer to sd card right.lol

@@marialorenabelgado3833 no I've just figured out that i need to put all my camera videos and pictures into the SD folder card because nothing else is the SD card usefull for except for storing big videos and alot of pictures

It's weird because even though I formatted for my sd card to be the main memory for the phone, when I go to move an app to the SD card it dies not give the option "change" to move to the card

hi, I`ve managed to get the SD Sandisk 64 gig formated, I see the SD Card icon top left of my phone screen. I have a Ulefone note 14, Android 12, am trying to move apps to the sd card but the `change' button is missing. Note that when I formated the SD card, there was not an option to format as `internal memory'. I went in the 'Developer Options' didn`t see anything that would correct this missing 'change' location button. Any suggestions?
