This is my favourite plant. I have had mine for a couple of years. Not on a pole yet and I don't find it fussy at all. As soon as a leaf unfurls a new one is on its way. Longest leaf is 1.2m long. I also have 2 patriciae x spiritus sancti, again, chucks out leaves regularly.
Love this plant! I bought one last fall and it has been slow to get started but gives me a new leaf every month or so. I love it, and I really enjoyed your video 🎉
hi friend! long time no comment! I remember seeing this in an unboxing video ages ago and it has been my white whale ever since! I have not found it locally for so long, but seeing you and others mention it keeps me hopeful, it looks to be thriving! :D
Love the update!! I didn’t know that it’s such a fuzzy plant 😮 I got mine two months ago and it’s pushing out the second leaves already and it’s so happy. Now I’m even happier 🙆🏼♀️
I don't know about other people, but I was considering this plant so I really appreciate the info! I couldn't find a lot of info on it. I only have a Billietiae right now and was trying to decide what longer strappy philo I wanted. This one sounds a bit too high maintenance for me lol. If I had a greenhouse I might get one, but I don't. I'll look into the other types of strappy boys lol. Thanks again!
Glad the info was helpful! 🌱 The Billietiae is a great choice too. Maybe one day you'll have a greenhouse and can add the Patriciae to your collection. 😊
I love plant spotlight videos. I have a patriciae, but I didn’t know it’s fussy. Mine grows wonderfully in my space. I love it so much. This is one of plants that I am not going to get rid of anytime soon. Another favorite is my Esmeraldense. I got it after seeing yours. I would say Esmeraldense and Patriciae require the same care.
I'm on my second patriciae now. First one was going well untill thrips had their party on the back side of the leaves. It left the plant looking really ugly so I gave it to my friend who wanted to give it more love and bought myself a fairly sized plant, this time already acclimated to semi-hydro. So far so good, I never had any particular issues with this plant, but it feels kinda like a ticking bomb - you just know that it is one bad move from getting downhill. I hope that the semihydro will be the answer. I haven't given it any support yet, since it has rather short stem, but I will probably need to do it sooner or later
I have two and they’re in potting soil I have them under LED light and mine are in bigger pot for each plant they’re are growing great I only water when the soil is drier side. Both are doing great one is doing better than the other. I saw these I thought they were something great but could think what the were they wern’t marked what were. The were angry at first but I let the beans would cut away any leaves that were yellowing if any. They are getting beautiful now and they are gettin long leaves. One is bigger than its sister but they are close in size. I love these I was freaked out when I found out what the ID wasif these plants. I got mine a few months ago like April 2024 $20.00 each at Walmart in marked in a section the sign said rare philodendrons
Slightly off topic, I believe you don't have a golden pothos long term review yet. Was thinking that since golden pothos is the benchmark for speed of growth, it would be nice to have a review for that one. 😊
Great idea, I can't believe I have not done this one yet! 😊 I’ll definitely consider doing a long-term review on the Golden Pothos. It’s such a classic! 🌿
I don't have this plant even though it's stunning 😍 I'm one of those die hard subscribers just watching for the heck of it 😉🤣 Loving the content as always 👏👏🙌🙌🤗
Didn’t get one yet, but thanks for sharing in the event I get it; plus, I love all your vids, even if I don’t own any of those plants. Thanks for sharing Memo!
I absolutely loved this video !!! But I have a completely differing opinion., but I have mine in soil . My differing opinion is that mine has been seethe easiest plant I own I think. I really wish TH-cam would allow picture comments lol but it is seriously one of the most absolutely amazing plants that I highly recommend to people. I got mine from Tropicals and I put it directly into soil
I'm late to the party, but loved your review. I missed their oh-so-long absence! I can they can be had for around $40 over here. I'd give this one a run if I find a good one. Cheers, Memo.
Do you have a sharoniae? I would be interested in a comparison if you do. I ' ve just bought a sharoniae for the strappy leaves because Im in love with them❤
I do have a Sharoniae yet, I can't believe I didn't think of it! 🌿 I’ll definitely consider doing a comparison in the future. Those strappy leaves are gorgeous! ❤️
This is my number 1 wish list plant. The reason is because it’s my name sake. lol my name is Patricia! 😂 I’m going to plant Con in Dallas Texas at the end of August and hope to find one there.❤️
Great question! 🌱 Semi-hydro can sometimes slow growth because it changes the plant's access to water and nutrients. I'll dive deeper into this in a future video! 😊
Hey Memo, I have mine in a chunky soil mix an it’s growing pretty good, but has the dreaded fungal spots. Spraying with copper fungicide now. 🫶🏼💚 ps the Heterocraspidon is rooting beautifully.
Hi Sherry! 🌿 It sounds like you're doing a great job with your Patriciae. The copper fungicide should help with those spots. Happy to hear about the Heterocraspedon too! 💚

Wow, sounds like you have a thriving collection! 🌿 It’s great to hear your Patriciae is doing so well. Those long leaves are impressive! 😊

Mine is still in moss/perlite and doing great. I think I will be putting it in soil soon, but it’s been growing great. Love it.
Moss/perlite is a great mix! 🌿 Transitioning to soil should be a smooth process for your plant. Glad to hear it’s doing so well! 😊
Fun video. Glad to know more about this plant. I love these kind of videos. 😊
Thank you! 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it. More fun plant content coming soon!

I’m glad you’re giving it another shot! 🌿 Semi-hydro can be great for stability. Fingers crossed it thrives this time! 😊

Sounds like you have a wonderful setup! 🌟 Your plants seem to be thriving under your care. $20 each is a great deal! 😊

Looks like a lovely plant love those long leaves
It truly is a lovely plant! 🌿 Those long leaves are one of its best features. 😊
I hadn’t heard anything about her before now 😅 I’ve been treating her like a low fuss philo and she’s doing great!
Do you have a sharoniae? I would be interested in a comparison if you do. I ' ve just bought a sharoniae for the strappy leaves because Im in love with them❤
I was thinking the same 🙂

Almostbought it but I decided to do the esmeraldense narrow form first. But I think I will get one in the future.
The Esmeraldense narrow form is a great choice! 🌱 I'm sure you'll love it. The Patriciae is definitely worth considering for the future. 😊
This is my number 1 wish list plant. The reason is because it’s my name sake. lol my name is Patricia! 😂 I’m going to plant Con in Dallas Texas at the end of August and hope to find one there.❤️
I have the narrow form of it :) it is amazing
Very pretty plant, but I´d still prefer P. Esmeraldense 🥰
The P. Esmeraldense is a beauty too! 🥰 Everyone has their favorites. 🌿 You must know by now which is my favourite 😅😜
You should send a video to Gardners World!
😊 That's a fantastic idea! I'll definitely consider it. Thanks for the suggestion!
❤
❤️🌿 Thank you for the love!
Just curious why would semi-hydro slow growth down?
Great question! 🌱 Semi-hydro can sometimes slow growth because it changes the plant's access to water and nutrients. I'll dive deeper into this in a future video! 😊

You have such a breathtaking specimen 😙🤌✨ I'll just patiently wait for the price to drop on this one but she's definitely top of the wishlist ✔️
Thank you so much! 😊✨ Hopefully, the price drops soon so you can add this beauty to your collection. 🌿
