@@jordanvalencia9597 yep, we should name the first few solar systems that we really get to know in-depth on different mythologies. One for Egyptian mythology, another for Norse, Mayan, Celtic, Indian, etc. Eventually we would run out and have to come up with new naming systems, but I think it would be cool while it lasted
Is it just me do I feel like we're lucky to have such a perfect solar system? Like everything is so perfect... One king, one ring planet, one life sustainable planet.. it's all so perfect we should enrich what we have and preserve our planet.
Perfect... You know we will have to travel out of here.. and we have no planet available to settle. It would take us decades to get out of the star system. That's perfectly imperfect!
A great presentation of facts about Saturn, some of which I didn't know! I was fascinated with the ringed planet when I was a kid, and a budding amateur astronomer. I wanted to see it myself! So when I was 13, I built a telescope powerful enough to let me see it and its rings. I asked my Dad to buy me one. They were absurdly expensive. I found a kit in the Edmund Scientific catalog for a 12 inch build it yourself Cassegrain reflector. He bought it, and I built it. I spent three months hand grinding the mirror. We sent it back to Edmind to be coated, and when I took it out in the back yard for its maiden voyage, after the first mind blowing look at the moon, my very next target was Saturn, and those rings. I'm not sure if I ever went to bed that night, and I've been fascinated with that planet ever since.
@@chef8118 You can, but not always and everywhere, theyre best seen when theyre closest to earth and youve got a good telescope and you are in natural enviornment far from city and light pollution.
Imagine living on the surface of one of Saturn's Moons, and waking up in the morning to see Saturn completely dominating the sky! How absolutely awesome would that be, eh?! It's cool enough just looking at it through a telescope in the back yard at night, picture looking up, after the Sun has set, and seeing Saturn and its rings taking up like half of the night sky!! 😊👍
I agree that Saturn is *the most beautiful planet* I once see it in my father's telescope and it's so mesmerizing to look at it and I got chills at the same time 🪐 i love planets and my favorite is Saturn 💖

At 0:16, lightest is not the same as least dense. Saturn is the second heaviest planet, after Jupiter. Although the statement about Saturn floating in an enormous ocean is technically correct to some extent, it's difficult to image a gaseous planet floating on a liquid.
Imagine being scientists in the early ages where you get to discover other planets for the first time. The thrill, excitement, curiosity or even fear of knowing that there might be other lives living on that planet.
You do know that it’s not the only planet in your solar system with rings around it, right? Oh wait, probably you don’t know anything other than Saturn has rings. Maybe you don’t even know what they are.
Scientists: we need more funding for space exploration their is so much more to learn about our universe. For example we learned the universe is always expanding , their is oil on Saturn , their is more galaxies then grains of sand on earth. USA: DID YOU SAY OIL?!!!!
None of the ring material is the size of a mountain. Apart from the moon's between the rings, the largest individual objects are only up to about 10m in diameter.
Technically, this statement was made in error in the presentation. Saturn ranks 2nd in mass (Jupiter is #1) and therefore is not the lightest planet in our solar system (there are 6 planets lighter than Saturn). What they probably meant to say in the video was that Saturn is the least dense of all the planets, which is factually true, the only planet with a density less than water's density.
Can't wait for the day when we can actually send crafts to these planets to explore their atmospheres and confirm the compositions of these gas giants.
