It's hard to imagine the challenges, cruelty and suffering that feral cats and dogs go through. And yet once their guard is down, they freely express affection and love. Out of 6 feral cats I've had in my life, all were (are) some the most loving Beings I've ever had the privilege of knowing. BTY, this woman goes to the top of my list of evolved, compassionate, beautiful human beings. She is so humble about serious responsibilities with and care of feral cats. And Charlie, he's tops! I had a cat who had been on the street for 7 years and decided to retire with me. Fernando!. Similiar personalities.
Thank you for helping homeless animals - _especially_ cats. They need all the help they can get. They're pretty much forgotten when it comes to organizations - except for places like Sunset Park Cats. It's people like these angels that really do the rescuing and rehabbing of street kitties. Many feral cats are really lost souls or ones that have been abandoned/dumped.
@@pawwalker3492 Thank you for such a kind reply. Much appreciated. My father, born on a farm, was a cartoonist of animals for 60 years. So, my sisters and I grew up with more love and respect for non-humans than for humans [of course, with many exceptions!].

I knew this rough bear looking barn cat one time and while he loved the fixed female cats who would come to me for pets, he absolutely HATED being touched. So naturally everytime he came to flirt with the ladies I'd give him a quick pet, he'd hiss and retreat, rinse and repeat. Then one day something clicked in his mind like "... Hey... This actually feels pretty good!" From then on he became the most affectionate cat in that barn and would actively track people down to get his love fix.
Charlie is a handsome warrior who just wants to be loved. Seeing him relax when cradled like a baby was so sweet. People that take their time to show animals like Charlie that patience and love are angels in my book. I have faith he will find the perfect home soon.

Taha Nadeem I totally agree. When I was sad or not feeling well my cats would stay with me and made sure I knew they were there. Humans aren’t so loving.
Looks just like my Rocky. Got that name for all the scars. Haha. Been inside 20 months now and weighs 22lbs. He is super sweet....chronically ill though. But obviously thankful for easy life now. Hope Charlie gets his forever great home soon.
I found my cat, who is also named Charlie, hanging by his neck from a fence at 1am. His screaming woke me up and took like 10 minutes before I found the noise. Long story short, he is now a big handsome tuxedo man who still loves to lie on my chest, just like the very first place he fell asleep, 8 years ago. Also, this was video posted on my birthday!
When cats distance themselves from people, it’s not that they hate us. Some prefer to be alone, and some are just scared. People need to understand more. I’m so glad she tried with him! ❤️
Thank you soo much, I adopted an 8yr old male cat who was abandoned, FIV positive and about to be euthanaised last week and am having a bit of trouble getting him to be friendly and trusting of us. This vid has helped me to understand him more and hopefully he’ll be better with us and in time. 👌🏽💞
Rachel Cookson Just give it time and patience. I adopted a cat that whose owner had died, sibling was adopted, and she was put in a room with 3 other cats. One of which had been abandoned by her owner and terrorised the other cats. She was there for 11 months as black cats are usually the last to be adopted. Took her a few weeks to months to come around. Have had her for 2 years and she's still a little cautious, likes being petted when she wants to be, likes her own space, plays well with my other cat, will sit close to me at times for some petting or just to be close to me. Had to take her to vet for tiny spider bite, live near mountains and cats are indoors, so now she's a little skittish. Both of my babies meow in the evening for their treats:)
You are doing a wonderful thing! Thank you! I recommend letting him come to you -- above all else, cats appreciate people respecting their personal space. When he's ready, start with cheek- and chin-scratchies. Those are pretty hard for a kitty to resist =) edit: Cats also like when you show them your finger first, so they can approve it before scratchies begin XD
@@Soymaid Meowing at them softly seemed to always get the attention of mine and make them want to approach me. Also do it while you're sitting or laying on your back on the ground at their level.
Awwwww. I have tamed two very feral cats. It took over two years for each of them, slowly edging closer. But once they crossed that line of being able to be loved, they became total lap cats, wanting to be petted all the time, like they were making up for lost time. I love all cats, but there is something extra special about winning over an older cat that was on the streets forever and being able to give them a warm cozy loving home to live out their years. Thank you for giving this tough old street boi a chance. Claire and Christopurrs 💗😻💗

I love his ears!! It's what makes him adorable . You are a righteous person in the eyes of of our Heavenly Father. You are an example to the rest of the world. Bless you always...
We have 12 Thanks to Hurricane Erma...We Love Each And Everyone with their Amazing Personalities...We NEED MORE HEARTS LIKE YOURS!
He looks the same as our Charlie we had to have put down after a long illness and we miss him everyday. Animal rescuers are amazing ppl and cannot be thanked enough.
Awww what a sweet cat, thank you for helping all those animals. There are still a lot of really kind caring people out there.
That baby was probably just thrown out by horrible monsters that call themselves human and he became thick skinned. Thank goodness for y’all loving him he just loves back. Thank you😺😺😺🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Humans / animals who / which are the hardest to love usually are the ones who need it the most ♥️
I hope Charlie finds his furever home, soon. He's a real sweet kitty down inside.
Thank you for the kindness and love in your heart for rescuing this sweet little guy who deserves ALL of the love he can get! ❤🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾❤🥰👍
He deserves to have a happy and healthy life. I’m so glad he’s found safety and love and doesn’t have to live on the streets anymore. He looks like an old man.💗
I always cry happy tears when I see videos like this. There's still people who can restore my faith of humankind ^^
In a day of disposable razors, disposable relationships, disposable people, this sort of patience and affection warms my innards.
This isn't a feral cat, this is a cat that was probably lost or dumped by its owners. Thank you for all of you that rescue these amazing animals, you are the best examples of what compassion and empathy should look like.
I hope Charlie finds a warm & loving home soon! 🤗💙
Though he has the “cabbage ears” of the street cat, his expression is that of needing affection. What a dear ginger boy!
Bless you for making such a huge effort to give him the love he deserves.
Charlie has found his forever home - with Sunset Park Cats, the people who rescued and rehabbed him 💖
He's a sweetheart !
I know very well what happens when you can't find homes for rescued kittens once they are old enough, the ones that have not been adopted out end up becoming yet another member of my family and I've collected a large family
Sad fact is there are Millions of Charlie's out there. Thank you to the ones that help and are making a difference in the world!!
He looks like Simba! I like his ears. I know they were probably damaged to exposure but they just look so cute.
I pray that Sonia is abundantly blessed & rewarded for her loving efforts to restore and rehabilitate Charlie. He would still be outside freezing on the cold streets of Brooklyn if not for her work and the efforts of Sunset Park Cat Rescue.
I hope that Charlie's new Family see this video very soon and is able to bring him home before the holidays are over 😊🙏🕊️💕
I wish all people were generous like this. It's a shame most people would just abandon him. That thought makes me sad.
Edit: Holy, thank you guys for the likes! People usually just ignore my comments! ^o^
@@lord_cobi Don't ever make that comment
@@DuneTheKaiju hush up child u don't make demands to a Lord
@@lord_cobi I never said I made commands to a Lord or anything. I'm just really defensive against animal haters or people who make those types of comments. Nothing about it is right.
@@DuneTheKaiju oh no but it is right it's what my king commands of me
@@lord_cobi What king? Satan?
Poor Charley being on the street for so long. I like how you can cradle him like a baby.
Love and patience heals
HE LOOKS LIkE A LItTy CUtE BaBy TIGER AWWWWa SO CUTe
Awwww thanks to all involved in helping this beautiful fur babies from my home town Brooklyn NY 🐱❤️
He was owned at one time, a feral cat would never you let you touch it, so there is hope for him. So sad that domestic animals are abandoned, they need us and we need them.
God bless you all and thank you sooo much for rescue him and give him a better life with love and happiness cuz i lot of people don't think that feras cats can be adopted and be an indoor cat so thank you sooo much for giving him that opportunity 😙💖💕💕💛💛😘😘😍😍❤❤❤😗😗😗
I would adopt Charlie in a heartbeat!!! 😻 He's beautiful with such loving eyes! 💖💙💕
Charlie is a handsome warrior who just wants to be loved. Seeing him relax when cradled like a baby was so sweet. People that take their time to show animals like Charlie that patience and love are angels in my book. I have faith he will find the perfect home soon.
Precious Charlie
Bless you for loving this scars kitty. I have been fostering a dog for a year and every little break through is soooo wonderful. He now gets along with 2 other dogs 🐕 this and 5 cats 🐈
Animals never fake love
You have never owned a cavalier spanial then😂😂my girl would fake a bit of love just for a biscuit,,, 😉🙏😍
@Luis Ishmael who are you calling him dummy you brat?
Taha Nadeem I totally agree. When I was sad or not feeling well my cats would stay with me and made sure I knew they were there. Humans aren’t so loving.
Actually many animals fake love
@@shirley9240 yay someone agrees
I love Charlie so much!
Looks just like my Rocky. Got that name for all the scars. Haha. Been inside 20 months now and weighs 22lbs. He is super sweet....chronically ill though. But obviously thankful for easy life now.
Hope Charlie gets his forever great home soon.
There is a right way to do things and a wrong way. This is the Right way 👍🤗😇😻
Awwh he’s so cute and precious. Love to all animals and those who help them.
Awww sweet heart
What a great cat
I found my cat, who is also named Charlie, hanging by his neck from a fence at 1am. His screaming woke me up and took like 10 minutes before I found the noise.
Long story short, he is now a big handsome tuxedo man who still loves to lie on my chest, just like the very first place he fell asleep, 8 years ago.
Also, this was video posted on my birthday!
Is it just me but he looks like Thomas O’Malley from aristocats
Yes! That would be a good name for him! 😀
@@binsybadnews3462 Yess
O'Malley, the alley cat 🎵🎶
yep he meows with an Irish accent
I think the reason why he likes to be carried like a baby is bc he likes to hear the heartbeat of the woman 😊
When cats distance themselves from people, it’s not that they hate us. Some prefer to be alone, and some are just scared. People need to understand more. I’m so glad she tried with him! ❤️
He’s a good boy
HE'S JUST SCARED. LOVE AND TIME TURNS THINGS AROUND.
Poor baby! I love Charlie ! 💗🖤❤️
Those are pretty hard for a kitty to resist =)
edit: Cats also like when you show them your finger first, so they can approve it before scratchies begin XD
What a little love nugget!! 😻 I hope Charlie finds a happy furever home soon. 😺
God-bless you and thank you so much for helping these animals Charlie's a beautiful beautiful soul
