@@simondann7371 its funny how no other transport game seems to beat this.. hopefully transport fever 2 can do it with better signals and industries.. mashinky is good but this somehow still comes out on top
15:50 You deleted a vehicle, the game then assumes the next vehicle you buy is supposed to be a replacement, that is why your new food car got shared orders of the mail vehicles.
I am playing on your map (same GRF and script fix) and my city did ask me for fruit. Which can easily be fixed with buying a cider mill. I didn't change any requirements in the script.
21:30 The food is not configured in your script (set to 0,0,0) so your town don't want it in the future. (but it will need farm supplies as Maxim Kozlov mentioned.)
I've played with this GRF setup, and you will have same problem i had: city will ask you for farming supplies but there is no way to deliver em to city. You have to manually reconfigure all cargo requirements. Also with this script on/off toggle for cargo in config doesn't do anything
I mentioned that on the 2nd or 3rd episode (also noted in the description of every video). I edited some of the values for the script manually but this was after I started the savegame so I'm not really sure if that will work as the city grows. If it doesn't work I have a few ideas on how to address it when the time comes but I just hope it doesn't :D
Hi nice series. I would love it if you tried the wasteland newgrf, but I don't know if it's compatible with any of the other mods other than the station replacement set. It has its own town buildings and industry. Might not be your style tho.
I've been liking this series and I can't ever catch you streaming, but I really like the multiplayer streams of OpenTTD. Have you ever used the Silicon Valley script? I think it can be customized, but you're given a random city as your capital and a random industry to build up. Every company that joins the game gets a different city and industry. You are supposed to fund industries to get a total of 5 and supply all of them around your capital city. I like the Silicon Valley script better than the town builder one (but I'm not good at either one).
What is your strategy for delivering cargo for cities that are not your capital city? Whenever I've played the city builder script, I've only ever delivered cargo to the capital city to get it to grow.
The longer the delivery the more you get paid. The penalty for later deliveries is offset by how much more you get paid for distance, so deliver as far away as possible, or so I've been told

factory: has free tiles in the middle so you can plop your station there
strictoaster: "I want my station here"
my OCD: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
OMG! I didn't see it!!!
This series has gotten me back into this game.. great content man!
Me too. I thoroughly look forward to when he releases new episodes.

Oops, didn't notice that. I'll take a look at it.

Hey, is there a public openTTD server with this script?
there are several servers with the city builder scripts, but I don't play much online so I don't know if silicon valley script is on any servers
Oh, interesting. I'll check it out!
Ops the river

I don't have a strategy, you don't really have to deliver anything to the other cities unless you want to.
The longer the delivery the more you get paid. The penalty for later deliveries is offset by how much more you get paid for distance, so deliver as far away as possible, or so I've been told
Could you make a list of mods you are using for this?
r04r88 it’s on the first episode
Hey strict I know you stream openttd on private servers, but why don’t you have a stream sometime on a public server so we can all join
