- Ok you have bought Infinity Code One operation Blackwind and you have had a look through the starter Mission booklet that comes with it.
Well in this series of videos we take you through those missions to show you the basics and help you understand the game mechanics.

That Aleph scheme is rad
Good play through of the first two missions. The first two are enough to teach new players the core common mechanics of infinity.
I like the explanation for deployment and why each of you deployed the way you did.

Ogre took a risk moving his Lt 59:20 in the open to shoot the aleph on the roof of the building. He would have had cover if he move up the stairs.

@@fastpandagaming I will do so Drach up in Sheffield who i understand joins you chaps on occasions. I'd greatly appreciate help on list building from units you get in the Operation Starter sets for the purpose of 300 point games for events. I got into Infinity with the Operation Coldfront and Beyond Coldfront sets. I'm sure as I get into the game I'll start understanding the better units to chose and get better but got to start somewhere. My son is also into the game so we are running both Ariadna and Aleph.

The "tough" dudes on both sides feel as they can roflstomp the grunts of the opposition pretty much on their own.
they are major pieces but you do have to be a little cautious as they can die to the grunts even in your turn.

Just bought Operation Blackwind. Your videos help a lot. Thanks a lot. Quick question? Do I understand correctly? The booklet in Operation Blackwind is like an intro to Code One. Once you master that, you switch to the Code One rulebook. If you master that, and want to, you switch over to n4? Do I have it right?
essentially yes or you could stick with CodeOne or jump straight into N4 it is up to you and the community you find.

Sorry. A couple more questions. I am starting to play Blackwind with my wife ( I'm very lucky).. I'll be playing with Steel Phalanx. I'm not sure how to use the Hoplite. When does the Hoplite stay behind and use the heavy mg and when does he switch to cc? On another matter, I'm not sure Aleph and Haqqislam are truly balanced. Does Aleph stand a chance against a force were so many warriors can make use of forward deployment, mimetism, camouflage, and so on?
hotplate wise I'm afraid to say it depends......if you have the range go for the weight of dice as you get 4, if you don't and the terrain is favourable go for CC.
as for ballance, they have different strengths Aleph get armour and better weapons Combi rifle gets +3 0-8" ect. get into cover and you are more likely to survive.
