That was beautiful, sis, and we're on the same page. Right before I started watching this video, I was sitting her thinking to myself, "I've been watching Funky for 10 years as of this year!!" I'll never forget I was living in Nashville working a HORRIBLE job and bored just living in Nashville!! Add on, I was homesick because I missed my home state (California) and going through it! Funky got me through some rough times as well. I started watching his reviews of Scandal, but the tea was I didn't even watch Scandal. From what I read it did have several safety features but one of the worst things that can happen is that it's caught on something. Which is what I think happened. The ocean at that depth is pretty unpredictable. The person driving the sub had been down to the Titanic 35 times or so? And this company had done many visits with the same vessel. So who knows man.

Has safety features. However, the sea is unpredictable and based on the experts with subs once anything goes wrong, it goes wrong very quickly.

And ANOTHER THING!!! I was in Belfast in March at the Titanic Museum and its AMAZING. They said they stopped even allowing people to go down into the wreckage and to just let it rest as a gravesite which is true. Hundreds of people died. Entire family bloodlines. Leave it alone

There are special floating cranes that are used to retrieve wrecks and other huge items from the ocean floor. The Titanic is pretty much gone at this point - it rusted away. There isn’t really anything that could be recovered as a single piece. It is actually more valuable to research it where it is. The Titanic broke in half when it was sinking - her bow and stern now lay 600 meters apart. All the little pieces spread in the area of 38 square kilometres. Two big parts maybe were worth salvaging long decades ago, but not anymore.If you tried moving it, it would simply fall apart into a huge pile of iron oxide.
As for this lost submarine, they have planes that can locate subs, but since there is no signal at all, that's not working. They are dropping special sensors in the water, but the problem is there is a ton of debris around the titanic, and they are looking for a sub the size of an SUV. They have to locate it and then pull it out of the water to open it up, and they have less than 2 days left to get it done.
It only had 96 hours of emergency air. Who's knows if that's even true since they skipped the cert process. Whats sad about this situation is that the CEO (who is onboard) fired the lead engineer a few years ago, and sued him, because CEO didn't want to comply with all of the safety certs and regulations for this submersible. He(ceo) said that it was all a waste of time and money. Now he's paying for it either way 🤷🏾♀️.

I remember watching a documentary about how it was a big insurance scam that went wrong. They planned for it to sink, but the ship that was supposed to be near by to rescue everyone was late.

The company that did the submersible literally has had an issue on every one of their excursions. On one of them the designer Pringle can got stuck and they had to rock in that shit to get it dislodged.

This was my reply to another person that posted with the same perspective: The mere fact that you had to sign a waiver that said "this vessel has not been approved by any regulatory agency or department. That involvement in this expedition may cause emotional trauma, physical injury or death". Couple that with no Wifi, GPS or even a beacon light. Controlled by nothing but a "game like controller" device via text message. This is a classic example and please for anyone else who reads this and it saying that I may be insensitive, save it: Just because you are uber rich and can do some things, doesn't mean that it is safe and/or advisable.

Apparently the submarine company has had issues before. They had a previous employee say he had issues with their glass not being thick enough when he brought it up they dismissed him. That employee quit soon after. The Martine waters surrounding the Titanic is owned by a company.

Alright so, this has been well discussed. There was a company that bought the wreckage when it was found in 1985. They actually brought up a huge wall from the titanic and it sits in a museum. But the biggest reason they only did that much was because the families of the victims did not want that. That’s their loved ones grave. Let them rest.
