Thanks, me neither, that's why I gave it a try! I've been pretty busy lately, but I'm definitely planning to go over a huge portion of Splatoon 3's soundtrack at some point =)
I adore Splatoon series, and I am loving Splatoon 3, especially the music. They do a great job of making it feel as if these songs were actually made by squid and other sea creature people
I like how after the intro, when the drums come in, the guitars still play the same riff but the drums kind of put the offbeats in context if that makes sense. Like once the drums come in, its more clear how the offbeats fit into it.
Huh, never thought it'd sound awkward to some people somehow. Interesting. It just sounds like a straight up (head)banger to me 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Then again Breakcore & Mashcore are 2 of my most beloved music genres; wonder if those made me super used to any mix of genres, if I could even identify them. Or actually, it might've been J-music in general as they don't stick to formulas and just make what sounds fitting & hype, which is exactly why I love em
I love this song but I'm a bit conflicted on it in terms of it playing during matches. Especially if there's no sound/music slider I feel it could drown out other important game sounds.
I understand that. Even if there are not gonna be any volume sliders, all the tunes are usually a little more quiet in-game compared to when they showcase them standalone, so we will see how it's gonna be!
Decided to do another one of these! This time checking out and analyzing the chaotic track 'Chaos Carnival' from Salmon Run! th-cam.com/video/p8c8nS8psPM/w-d-xo.html
Its interesting reading the comments about this tune and how people tend to love it because its a lot like Metalopod. Personally i don't like Metalopod that much, but i absolutely love Paintscraper. Favorite multiplayer track from splatoon 3.
Paintscrapper never was the more outstanding multiplayer song for me, but I really like it nontheless! By the way, there was another song (I think its name is Triple Dip) that is kind of close to the heaviness of Paintscrapper.
This tune is heavy and so awkward, even for Splatoon standards, but I'm all in for it! How did you like it?
Ikr! When i first listened to it, it was so weird
I liked it as I'm excited to hear it in the full game. Just gotta wait about a week.
i love it sm but i know nothing about music so idk
@@Miko.Splash same
It’s amazing just like every Splatoon battle song
You say it's the heaviest track in the series, but you might be forgetting Pearl's little demo track from Splatoon 2: "#$@%^ Dudes be #$@%^ Sleeping".
You're not wrong, haha. I remember this tune VERY well.
That, and Metalopod
Fun fact: According to the lore of Splatoon 3, C-side, the band playing this song, are untrained.
I am too. This is totally attainable
That feels weird when the real people that made this song are not
They're more about passion
love this song so much, really just feels like a chaotic follow up to metalopod from 1, and its great
Yeah same! Even though it's not even that similar compositionally, it's giving off similar vibes to Metalopod for sure.
@@ChristophJakob when a musician operates on instruments rather than actual composition lmfao
metalopod and painscraper are easily my favorite tracks inside the splatoon games
I know it’s a typo but PAINSCRAPER sounds hardcore
@@koveltskiis8391 yes i made that one

watching people react to Splatoon music is something i never knew i needed.
FOR REAL IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY
I grew up on 80s rock and metal, I loved Metalopod lots but this just skyrocketed and what I wanted in this franchise so much
I have never seen people react to Splatoon music like you do I hope you do more reactions like this I loved this video. I am subscribing right now.

seasick by diss pair was also pretty heavy, though it didn't focus on guitar all that much

really love the commentary! i love the music in splatoon and this helps me learn music theory. the explanation's really nice too!
i LOVEE PAINT SCRAPERRR ITS MY FAVORITE TRACK SO FAR

Honestly this is one of my favorite new songs in 3, I really feel like I could be at a concert banging my head to the rhythm lol
this song is unironically my favorite versus track so far (not in the series though, that goes to shelfie/friend list from splatoon 1)
It's really good, one of my favorites for sure. Even though my all-time favorite will probably forever remain Rip Entry from Splatoon 2 =D
@@ChristophJakob Rip Entry is a really good one, Endolphin Surge is my personal favorite from Splatoon 2
When I heard this track for the first time I immediately got vibes similiar to those from the soundrack from 2004 Painkiller videogame.
C-SIDE HAS AMAZING SONGS DUDE
It definitely feels like Splatoon 3's Metalopod and I'm all for it
I mean splatoon 3 is chaos, this song is certainly chaos
GHGHGJHJHJHJ i love this song so much its so good i don't really listen to that much metal music but its like one of my fav splatoon tracks ever
burnout was a great series with a great soundtrack, glad you referenced it
I played so much Burnout back in the days, especially Burnout 2: Point of Impact! =D

This isn't my favorite song, but it's in my top 5 for sure
Huh i dont remember ever hearing this🤨
This soundsike rage rock or rage metal, to me, because of the fact that the vocals don't totally follow a melody.
