The map summoned Starlight because she was the ONLY one of the group who has no predisposition/attachment of a personal nature towards the Sisters and had the guts to pull off something like changing their cutie marks...Twilight and the others would never have gone out on a limb like that quite as readily.
And, as far as we know, Starlight is the only unicorn with cutie mark manipulation magic, so she's the only one who could have switched their cutie marks to make them switching places for a day really work.
24:12 Fun fact, dreaming of your teeth falling out is a real thing. I've had it many times, and apparently it means you're worried about something. Makes perfect sense it would happen to Luna here.
I've had this dream a couple of times too back in school (the teeth falling out one, not the dead friend one). Haven't had it in years and years now though.
When Celestia yelled "No you're not!" to Daybreaker, it was so full of emotion that it gave me shivers. Small details like that hit me the hardest for some reason. Maybe that's why I like MLP so much, it pays attention to those small details.
I really love how fixated Luna becomes on messing up the kids school trip. All her episodes put emphasis in her love of kids, and this did not dissapoint. Also, poor Celestia, talking to herself just to keep busy while all alone. Wonder if she did a lot of that in private during the banishment.
Like you, Luffy, I was unable to avoid seeing an image of Daybreaker or hearing her name. However, as I was clueless on context, it did absolutely nothing to ruin the experience of the episode itself. It was _fantastic_ , and, like you said, very much worthy of being the episode to end the first half of the season, if it really had been the mid-season finale. An episode dedicated to Celestia and Luna in a day-to-day setting was exactly what we needed. We only got a taste of them bickering like typical siblings in Slice of Life, and this kicked it up to 11. Coupled with Starlight being summoned by the map, ballerina Twilight, the cutie mark swap for an intriguing take on the Freaky Friday scenario, and Nightmare Moon vs. Daybreaker, this is easily the best episode of Season 7 so far, and an easy contender for one of the best of the whole series! =) I have to applaud the cleverness of having Starlight being summoned by the map. Besides being a very bold pony, she also has no personal biases or blind spots in regards to the princesses, unlike Her Royal Studiousness. Starlight had no reservations in being blunt to Celestia and Luna about the problem, and going with her instincts, despite being startling and dubious at first, really was the right call. Not only did Starlight have the capacity to switch their cutie marks, but the boldness to even dare to do so. And because of her, the Royal Sisters are closer than ever. Bravo, Glimmy. I'm so proud of you. =)
Loved your reaction as always, Luffs. :) And I agree with you on what Celestia said in Canterlot Wedding about "trusting your instincts". That's what a lot of the Starlight haters need to be reminded off when it comes to this episode. It really ticks me off that some people are overlooking the epicness of the sister's relationship and what happens, just because they are p'd off at Starlight for her actions and they don't get the message the episode is trying to teach.
this episode was truly freaking amazing. this episode got me to love Celestia. and Daybreaker was awesome. i know she is only a dream but she is now my favorite Villain. this was a great reaction vid Luffy, sad you were spoiled on Daybreaker, but it was still pretty damn good. keep up the great work man
Remember that the last possible future of Equestria back in the season 5 finales was a barren wasteland? I wonder if that was the timeline where Celestia just lost herself into Daybreaker...
Twilight's just so adorable and crazy in this episode she made my day! Also, yeah, the continuity of the show is just getting better and better in my opinion (except for a couple episodes). This is freaking amazing!! You should see NerfStranger's reaction to it.
This episode is in my top ten or my top twenty favorite episodes of the entire series. Get more in depth with Luna and Celestia (Especially Celestia; since we have gotten more in depth with Luna). Also it makes sense as to why Starlight would be the one to be called; because as she said she's not bias like Twilight is when it comes to the princesses, plus other then Twilight she's the only one that would be powerful enough to switch the princesses Cutie Marks, since she's done that kind of thing in the past. Also I love Princess Celestia, I love Luna so much but this episode combined with Celestial Advice has just made Celestia my favorite princess of the series. Also it is a shame that you knew about Daybreaker, but even so I think this is one of those episodes even if you know a little bit of it previously you could still enjoy it. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
I adore this episode. After Crusaders of the Lost Mark and Slice of Life, this is my favorite episode of the series. I love them all for different reasons. Crusaders of the Lost Mark is the most emotionally intense and fulfilling episode of the series, as a seasons long journey ends and another one begins. Slice of Life is simply put the episode I find the most consistently hilarious, with the most laugh-out-loud moments that are constantly entertaining. But this episode I love because of the concepts. I would argue that this is perhaps the most well-executed episode of the show, where every single aspect of it works perfectly. It is ambitious, it stretches boundaries, and it perfectly sticks the landing. Things I love about this episode: - Perhaps the best supporting-role Twilight of the series. - Consistently amusing character and situation based humor. - Well paced with a rising level of tension that reaches a fantastic climax. - The most depth we've ever gotten for Celestia in an episode, including the wonderful outings in Celestial Advice and Horse Play. - Addressing a long-seeded conflict underpinning some of the original foundations of the show in an impressive manner. - Really showcasing how much Starlight has changed and grown into a mature and responsible mare, with one of her best showings in the show. - And of course as a Luna fan I would be remiss if I didn't comment on how adorable she was throughout the episode. And finally... DAYBREAKER I will argue vehemently that Daybreaker is the single best concept ever introduced into the series. It is the most awe-inspiring and wonderful to behold thing to see in the history of the show, and I'm including the CMCs getting their cutie marks. While that inspires happiness, this inspires pure excitement. Every second she is onscreen is pure magic, and every aspect of her is perfectly pulled off, from her attitude and line-delivery to her look to her awesome and terrifying power. No shot in the show gives me chills the same way that supernova of power washes over Celestia and Starlight does. It's perfect.
I like to think that Daybreaker is Celestia's shadow (if you're into Jungian psychology), basically the embodiment of every dark thought Celestia's ever had? "You don't need anypony. You can do whatever you want." "I should have destroyed you!" "I'm everything you want to be."
21:49 You put a huge disclaimer at the beginning saying how you already knew about Daybreaker, yet you STILL managed to be a little surprised by her official appearance, I LOVE IT!
Oh, and speaking of dream imagery...teeth falling out in a dream is often thought to symbolize feelings of extreme anxiety or guilt -or sexual inadequacy.- Luna feels _that_ guilty over those little students.
And yes, thank you for telling us flat out at the start that you knew about Daybreaker already, because I _was_ about to jump forward, and would've been let down at your flat reaction to seeing her. So, good call..
Am I the only one who realized that Luna must have been extremely exhausted from staying up ALL night with her duties, then ALL day with Celestia's duties. All while Celestia slept. Yet, Celestia is the one who broke down and needed help. Even more reason Luna is best pony.
exhausted? its like in the movie Inception _Oh gosh while I slept I did all of that mental work, that must have been so tiring, while my physical body slept_ Believe me, she would felt like shit if she was awake for the whole 24+hours
Kay Kay Luna fucked up her shift multiple times anyways, and Celestia was dealing with an actual power that she hasn't delt with before. Luna had been watching over ponies dreams for years, mainly petty nightmares (nothing tooo serious) but celestia then had to use the power she never used before AND had to face off against Nightmare Moon AND Daybreaker as Starlight crumbled to pieces in front of her. AND Celestia now has to do a double shift anyways as well. Give Celestia credit where it's due, don't just shove her off to make Luna look better. I do love Luna but I can give BOTH Sisters credit where they deserve.
I still like in this episode that they also go out of their way to have Luna and Celestia switch magic auras as well while their cutie marks were swapped. Nice little touch I think.
In season 8 Twilight will finally have that stroke we've been expecting her to have all these years when the map calls Trixie on a mission, mostly to get her the hell up away from the map. It did not appreciate being used as a massage table. :3
I think the reason Canada was pumping them out quickly could possibly be due to the Movie, if it is to take place after Season 7. If I count the weeks properly by US airing and hiatus, and the rumour that the series will be back in September, we'd be at the most 3 episodes in before the Movie starts. I think that is why Canada was in such a hurry. Now, as for this episode, ALL OF THE YES! Screenshots don't do it justice. Those dream bubbles are just so much fun to study. Especially baby Applejack in two pairs of arms. Hinting to something...? And the teeth falling out, I've had dreams like that, either individually collecting in my mouth or entire rows falling out like false teeth. Another time they just grow so I can neither open nor close my mouth. Also, when they switched jobs it was very reminiscent of IDW's Micro 10.
We watched episodes 10-13 today. Season 7 is definitely on a roll. Something it may be interesting to explore in the future is how the map got to be so frickin clever and just how sentient it actually is. It's another backstory possibility
Even though you've been spoiled on Daybreaker, you're reaction to her and the entire episode was just as satisfying. Also, I agree with you on the note that this episode is truly the mid-season finale due to how amazing it is. It has a similar quality that "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" has(with an intriguing story, great character development, a good amount of action, etc.), which makes this episode so great!
I'm so glad that we see Starlight at least more after her reformation. Discord in every season always has 2,3, 4 or even only one episode and I really dislike this. At least we have more episodes with Starlight. That's why I like her now. We know better her character and story.
Wait... at 26:00 Celestia's line "You are not real, and you will never exist again!" Does this mean Daybreaker has existed before? We hear Luna refer to Daybreaker by name even though Celestia never told her the name. Has Daybreaker existed before?!! (and I mean apart from the dream realm).
I feel like Celestia meant that she won't ever exist again after this first time (in the dream realm), otherwise there might not be a point to Daybreaker introducing herself instead of Celestia being the one to tell Starlight who she was lol But it'd be really cool if she had existed before.
Yeah, I don't know. I suppose it wouldn't make sense for her to have existed since we can presume she was a product of Starlight's troubled mind. If it weren't for the fact that Luna already knew the name without being told I'd write it off as strictly referring to the dream, but again I don't know.
I believe that Daybreaker was more of Celestia's dream then it was Starlight's. This was the first time that she had ever entered the dreamworld (to our knowledge anyway) so she wouldn't have as much control of the dream world as Luna would have, so I think it was more of Celestia's subconscious getting to her. Because really Daybreaker seemed to be talking more to Celestia more then Starlight; she did talk to Starlight, but really just briefly. But that's my take on it.
The only thing that would make me assume it's starlights, is that they were in starlight's dream. The idea being that the cause of her nightmare is fear that the two will fight once again and become Nightmare Moon and Day Breaker. Celestia had shown no real fear up until that point so it doesn't seem like any of her inner fears would have reason to manifest like that. From the way the dream progresses, we see nightmare moon appear, which is starlight's initial fear as we can surmise by her talks with twilight, at which point Celestia replies that she needn't fear because she can handle nightmare moon. I'd imagine the would be the point where starlight's troubled mind would create a "what if" scenario. "I know she can handle nightmare moon, but what if it happened to her? Would Luna be able to defeat her?"
However, if it is Celestia's fear being brought into the dream, that might lend more credence to the idea that Day Breaker had existed at some point previously in some form or other. I don't think the introduction by Day Breaker tells us much either way. Again it's a dream so in a sense things within the dream reflect the thoughts of the dreamers. Celestia sees Day Breaker and thinks "oh no, it's Day Breaker" and as a result Day Breaker announces it as a reflection of Celestia's subconscious
3:08 "Why break tradition and status quo of how things have always been released?" It's really strange how we praise the show itself for breaking the status quo, but as soon as one of the networks airing it breaks with the standard schedule we all get upset about it and ask why they can't be like everyone else. :) I agree with you completely. I just find the contrast funny.
"Don't suffer from overhype!" THANK YOU!!!!! So glad someone gets it. Never got how saying "Oh it wa overhyped" or complaing about people enjoying it somehow effects the story itself. As to all of Celestia's smiling and what not being forced. I doubt it. Yeah she will always put on a queenly mask and be smiling and happy, but most of the time we see her, dealing with Mane 6 etc... I doubt she'd have to force it. She really does care for and love all her little ponies. Smuglestia is awesome indeed. OHHHH nice callback! Te whole 'Going with your gut" and Celestia' advice back in the wedding to trust your instincts that is... wow that is GOOD and never noticed that before, nice catch. "Naturally it should have on of those episodes" SO BUCKING PERFECTLY SAID! So tired of people bitching about 'oh it's been done!" When it is HOW it is done that matters, it seeing THESE characters go through it that matters. So love your reactions, and this was one of the best reactions to this ep I've seen just, so damn good and the whole attitutde was amazing, this was an amazing episode, and an amazing reaction. Thank you.
Nightmare Moon - Uncontrolled Envy. She has curves and soft edges. She is the enveloping shadow. Daybreaker - Uncontrolled Pride. She has pointy tips and sharp edges. She is the piercing light.
I agree with you, the show has direction still, just because the staff has significantly changed doesn't mean it's gotten worse. They've even stated this season's theme is family, and it shows with all the family-focused episodes we've gotten. Season 6 had the theme of villains, or at least jerks, being reformed and redeemed. Season 5 was all about the cutie mark magic with the CMC getting their marks and the map and Starlight. Just having each season have a unifying theme that several episodes explore is way more than earlier seasons did.
I'm glad you didn't get mad about Starlight being called by the map some people were Pissed when they saw that. I was also spoiled by Day Breaker with a Screenshot But I loved this one best one of the Season. Also, Rember Starlight has Touched the map with her magic many times so it knows her well. Good reaction.
The mare, the myth, the legend - Daybreaker! When I first saw this episode, this appearance made my heart sink into my ass and made me fall out of my chair. Thia was just pure awesome. Oh yeah, I guess the sisters resolving their problems was okay too... ( -_-)
While it doesn't make sense to release it earlier, it IS a Canadian show, made in Canada, so it's really their choice to release it when they want, and by that logic the Canadian releases are the 'real' releases, not the U.S. releases. 29:00 Exactly. Every episode concept has been done 1000 times before. Even the most creative plot is just rearranging old concepts.
Join the club of people frustrated with Canada's early releases and spoiled on Daybreaker!! xD >:( And the club of people who got emotional when Twily became a Princess... :')
An awesome episode! Not much else to say. xD Shame you knew about Daybreaker but it was still a good reaction. I guess I could point out that the Cutie Map might have a connection to Starlight because her magic has been linked to it numerous times in the past. So that might be how it could call her on a mission. Either that, or as you said, the map is connected to the Tree of Harmony which is clearly very powerful and not necessarily limited by all the rules of their world.
Yeah, I made a poor analogy: Daybreaker is more superficial "spoiler" than knowing about Diamond Tiara's reformation. Having the thumbnail of "Bronies React: Season 6 Finale" in the related list offers a better analogy. Knowing about the new design of the Changelings is about the same level of spoiler for the season 6 finale as knowing about Daybreaker is for "A Royal Problem". Even though I've watched the episodes of season 7 along with the Canadian release I managed to see a YT thumbnail of Daybreaker before watching the episode. Obviously, I didn't get spoiled - just hyped. Of course, before seeing the episode I was worried I might be getting over-hyped because of that one image. After seeing the episode... I'm not sure it's possible to get over-hyped for this episode. I've been waiting for this episode ever since watching the season premiere of season 1 and I still wasn't over-hyped.
I don't know if Luffy has seen it yet or if he's mentioned it, but he should watch the three new Equestria Girls Specials (the whole thing combined is called "Magical Movie Night"). It's basically a fifth EQG movie to tie us over before the official movie comes out. Oh, and keep away from spoilers! Seriously, spoilers ruin everything. Even the descriptions of the shorts completely give away the best parts.
Starlight seemed to suffer from the same royal misunderstanding as every US president who visited royalty, they treated them as equals, neither royalty nor even minor nobles care to be treated as the equal of a mere politician, it's even impolite to touch royalty unless of course your the royal ass wiper. Yet every US president always seems to feel the up just as Starlight casually switched their marks in a burst of frustration as if to scream to the sisters as they were arguing to "quit yer bitching."
You're not the only one who knew about Daybreaker Bronymonster knew about it and one other did too but there was so much else that was pure win in this episode that I'm OK with it
Twilight better be involved in some sort of epic undercover operation at one point. She is quite good at espionage spells (kinda reminds me of Ninjutsu). Didn't Celestia do Luna's duties for a thousand years or was that just raising the moon?
ShadowCatGambit i think she only did the raising the moon part. though i don’t understand how as that is luna’s talent and only she had the magic to do so. i just use the the she’s Celestia don’t question it.
Teletoon CA and AU have consistently had this early airing problem for at least 3 seasons now. Blame the people in charge of episode releases in Canada and Australia. America's Discovery Family (ex Hub Network) stays consistent on their perfectly on time release dates.
Before you criticize another person you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them your a mile away and you have their shoes.
Honestly, as a Canadian, it bugs me that everyone was complaining about Canada getting the episodes early. Like, sorry, but we have our own TV networks and they're gonna do their own thing. If BBC was showing MLP and only showed a new episode every two weeks, it would bug North Americans to see British people complaining about America getting the episodes early and how they have to avoid spoilers, etc.
I have a theory about day breaker and the season 5 finale, that final alternate timeline never shows which villain caused that wasteland, I personally think that day breaker destroyed the world.
We don't really hate Canada, most of us, if not all of us are just joking around; but it is an inconvenience to us when the episode is released early and people want to support it where they are from, but hear other people talking about the episode.
it's all good, I'm from the US and I was still watching your airings the only thing I was pissed off about is I was still spoiled on daybreaker in the same damn day because of two thumbnails.
Oh. Figured you were like the very small number of reactors who hadn't uploaded it yet. But had recorded it in June with the Australia broadcasts, but were just waiting on the US broadcast to actually hit the upload button.
I did record the Australia broadcast back in June. I just prefer to edit with the best quality episode files, and those get uploaded to Yayponies after the US release. So I waited. Now the reaction to 12 is rendering, and should be uploaded today.
Dat Boi I dont think there is such thing as that. At least, I have never heard of a phone being so spoiled that it renders certain vids to be unavailable.
My wifefoo pony was In this episode and she had her first Map Mission I wanted Starlight to be call by the Friendship Map since season 5 final but it it finally happened in this Episode keep the good work my love Starlight Glimmer i love you my Dear Starlight Glimmer
simple if something comes out early and you can’t watch it yet just do what i do turn notifications off for everything that might spoil you and make a secondary account just for the other channels that have nothing to do with what you don’t want to be spoiled on. i missed on the wanted special for steven universe because of my sister and i managed to avoid everything that had to do with it till i watched it later that night. sure it still was a pain in the ass but it worked.
don't feel to bad about the spoiler, I was planning on watching this episode on the Canadian release day and some how still got spoiled on daybreaker with two freaking thumbnails.
The map summoned Starlight because she was the ONLY one of the group who has no predisposition/attachment of a personal nature towards the Sisters and had the guts to pull off something like changing their cutie marks...Twilight and the others would never have gone out on a limb like that quite as readily.
Agreed, it was a ballsy move and only Starlight would've made a call that potentially disastrous.
Starlight has no chill. That's why she's so great.
Pretty sure Starlight is the only one in Equestria who could pull it off
And, as far as we know, Starlight is the only unicorn with cutie mark manipulation magic, so she's the only one who could have switched their cutie marks to make them switching places for a day really work.
If it was Twilight who was summoned, she would have 100% sided with Celestia and blamed Luna for the Friendship Problem, and make the situation worse
It's so sweet that Celestia put Starlight into her own royal bed when she fell asleep. ♥
24:12 Fun fact, dreaming of your teeth falling out is a real thing. I've had it many times, and apparently it means you're worried about something. Makes perfect sense it would happen to Luna here.
My grandfather says that dreaming of teeth falling out is an omen of death.
I see my old dead friend and she has empty eye sockets in my dreams. do i have a problem? am i insane? am i mentally insane?
is this the sign my old dead friend has a grudge on me?
I've had this dream a couple of times too back in school (the teeth falling out one, not the dead friend one). Haven't had it in years and years now though.
same. screw my anxiety
When Celestia yelled "No you're not!" to Daybreaker, it was so full of emotion that it gave me shivers. Small details like that hit me the hardest for some reason. Maybe that's why I like MLP so much, it pays attention to those small details.
I feel the same way too! Nicole Oliver *really* put her all: her determination and firmness into _that one line!_
If you listen to the episode carefully, you can hear JoshScorcher screaming out of sheer joy.
I really love how fixated Luna becomes on messing up the kids school trip. All her episodes put emphasis in her love of kids, and this did not dissapoint.
Also, poor Celestia, talking to herself just to keep busy while all alone. Wonder if she did a lot of that in private during the banishment.
"Unless you plan on SMILING me to smithereens!" That line is priceless!
Like you, Luffy, I was unable to avoid seeing an image of Daybreaker or hearing her name. "In cartoons, dream imagery is the best!"
I agree!
A Royal Problem is my first favorite episode of the entire series
When we saw Apple jack as a baby it must of been Granny Smith dream of her remembering the past
21:02 "Uhh, can we talk about that Applejack?"
Why? You need a drink? :)
This is a fantastic episode. The whole concept is interesting. Starlight acts as a fantastic mediator. Daybreaker is stellar.
Episodes like this make me wonder why people think the show has "gone downhill"... I think they try too hard to keep hating Starlight Glimmer.
So Chrysalis do you want to fight Celestia now???😂
Everyone: OH MY GOD BEST EPISODE OF SEASON 7!!!!!!!!!
Me: Oh just wait till you see episode 13 cx
this episode was truly freaking amazing. this episode got me to love Celestia. and Daybreaker was awesome. i know she is only a dream but she is now my favorite Villain.
this was a great reaction vid Luffy, sad you were spoiled on Daybreaker, but it was still pretty damn good.
keep up the great work man
Daybreaker is one cold-blood killer...do you remember anypony that wanted to kill other pony?
Remember that the last possible future of Equestria back in the season 5 finales was a barren wasteland? I wonder if that was the timeline where Celestia just lost herself into Daybreaker...
Maybe...I think it would look like desert....not wasteland :D
Twilight vs Tirek?
He wanted their magic and to enslave them...but I am not sure (95%)
Raw Gem Can't say the same for Twilight. She was f*cking him up.
honestly this might be the best episode of the season so far.
S7E12 Will prove you wrong :D
That is until you see The perfect Pear xp
Twilight's just so adorable and crazy in this episode she made my day!

Yes! I've been waiting so long for this! I love your reaction videos!
Sleeping Starlight Glimmer overclocked my cuteness CPU to the max!
21:49 You put a huge disclaimer at the beginning saying how you already knew about Daybreaker, yet you STILL managed to be a little surprised by her official appearance, I LOVE IT!
About Luna’s teeth falling out. It’s interpreted as symptom for her anxiety. This is an awesome episode.

Kay Kay Yup. I knew there would be at least ONE Luna Nutbar doing mental gymnastics trying to elevate her about every other character.
Kay Kay But then Celestia had to do double shift at the end of the episode so it would all work out.
exhausted? its like in the movie Inception _Oh gosh while I slept I did all of that mental work, that must have been so tiring, while my physical body slept_ Believe me, she would felt like shit if she was awake for the whole 24+hours
Nah man, that's wrong, Celestia is best
We love you man xD We don't need you to be completely spoiler free =3 We just like seeing your reactions and hearing your thoughts on episodes
This episode is sooo amazing! Daybreak looks so great!
We watched episodes 10-13 today. Season 7 is definitely on a roll.
Something it may be interesting to explore in the future is how the map got to be so frickin clever and just how sentient it actually is. It's another backstory possibility
Did u notice that their magic color was changed
Well, orange *is* the new black.
Sorry, I'll show myself out. :P
Lavender actually is a calming scent, if you haven't used it before. :D
starlight glimmer is op as hell and love it
Even though you've been spoiled on Daybreaker, you're reaction to her and the entire episode was just as satisfying. Also, I agree with you on the note that this episode is truly the mid-season finale due to how amazing it is. It has a similar quality that "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" has(with an intriguing story, great character development, a good amount of action, etc.), which makes this episode so great!
Some even use lavender scent bubble bath. It helps people relax
I'm so glad that we see Starlight at least more after her reformation. Discord in every season always has 2,3, 4 or even only one episode and I really dislike this. At least we have more episodes with Starlight. That's why I like her now. We know better her character and story.
:D I thought I'd never see a nightmare version of Celestia! And this whole episode was gold!
Wait... at 26:00 Celestia's line "You are not real, and you will never exist again!" Does this mean Daybreaker has existed before?
3:08 "Why break tradition and status quo of how things have always been released?"
It's really strange how we praise the show itself for breaking the status quo, but as soon as one of the networks airing it breaks with the standard schedule we all get upset about it and ask why they can't be like everyone else. :)
I agree with you completely. I just find the contrast funny.
Anyone else reminded of Ace's great flame commandment flame emperor at 23:37?
Starlights face at 28:19 :D "I'm so done with this sh*t" :D
I'm going to need two apache helicopters to airlift in all the popcorn. 12/10
Episode 13 is the actual mid-season Finale btw
Wut? Isn't it episode 11?
SVGLNR I think that's just when Canada reset the schedule.
NRobbi42 NO ONE SPOIL EPISODE 13 FOR HIM! 😱😍
Awesome episode with Luna and Celestia! Starlight Glimmer is here and Ballerina Twilight...cute
Daybreaker: I'm everything you wanted to be!
Celestia: No you're not! YOU'RE NOT ME!
My favorite episode of this season is a tie between this episode and Celestial Advice, they're both really dang good.
lets just focus our frustration on Canada!!
Raises fists in air. Curse you Canada! lol. XD.
What is your frustration?
about how Daybreaker was spoiled for most of us
Because of how the episodes were released earlier for Canada then it was in the US.
Viva La Resistance! XD
28:22
starlight: WAKE ME UP, WAKE ME UP INSIDE
Join the club of people frustrated with Canada's early releases and spoiled on Daybreaker!! xD >:(
And the club of people who got emotional when Twily became a Princess...
Knowing about Daybreaker ahead of this episode is like knowing that Diamond Tiara is reformed ahead of "Crusaders of the Lost Mark".
Considering my reaction and thoughts on this episode, I disagree.
Oh, I've been waiting for your reaction to this episode ever since I saw it myself! You never let us down :-D
17:15
This music reminds me of the Clan Wars song from Clash of Clans. XD
I'm impressed. This is one of the oldest cartoon plot devices and they pushed back using...
Oh God, that pun went over my head.
I want a Twilight Sparkle music box ;-; It's so cute!
Jessie Soul Now with hyperventilating action!
Why hasn’t anyone made the Twilarina music box yet? That would have been a great idea.
amazing reaction Luffyiscool I love this episode alot it is amazing what the show and staff have in store yet to be seen
if celestia raises the sun, were did that "sunrise" came from at the end?
Starlight seemed to suffer from the same royal misunderstanding as every US president who visited royalty, they treated them as equals, neither royalty nor even minor nobles care to be treated as the equal of a mere politician, it's even impolite to touch royalty unless of course your the royal ass wiper. Yet every US president always seems to feel the up just as Starlight casually switched their marks in a burst of frustration as if to scream to the sisters as they were arguing to "quit yer bitching."
You're not the only one who knew about Daybreaker Bronymonster knew about it and one other did too but there was so much else that was pure win in this episode that I'm OK with it
Is the background music when you talk about being spoiled about daybreaker from the Beyblade v-force game for the gamecube?
Nope, it's from "Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories" for Playstation 1.
Yeah i knew it was familier i just could not put my finger on it
no, this is episode people were saying is the mid season finale
I know lol
Twilight better be involved in some sort of epic undercover operation at one point. She is quite good at espionage spells (kinda reminds me of Ninjutsu).
Didn't Celestia do Luna's duties for a thousand years or was that just raising the moon?
ShadowCatGambit
i think she only did the raising the moon part.
though i don’t understand how as that is luna’s talent and only she had the magic to do so.
i just use the the she’s Celestia don’t question it.
Now we just need a Zecora episode and we'll be all set.
Teletoon CA and AU have consistently had this early airing problem for at least 3 seasons now. Blame the people in charge of episode releases in Canada and Australia. America's Discovery Family (ex Hub Network) stays consistent on their perfectly on time release dates.
Did he notice that their magic colors were switched?
Was Canada releasing early or was the US releasing late??
Canada was releasing 2 episodes at a time, so I guess they were doing it early lol
ALL HAIL QUEEN DERPY MAY HER REIGN LAST 1000 MOON!
22:00 r u channeling the 9th doctor
Before you criticize another person you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way when you do criticize them your a mile away and you have their shoes.
Honestly, as a Canadian, it bugs me that everyone was complaining about Canada getting the episodes early. Like, sorry, but we have our own TV networks and they're gonna do their own thing. If BBC was showing MLP and only showed a new episode every two weeks, it would bug North Americans to see British people complaining about America getting the episodes early and how they have to avoid spoilers, etc.
if cadence was evil my fan names for evil cadence.
*HeartBreaker
*HeartShatter
I have a theory about day breaker and the season 5 finale, that final alternate timeline never shows which villain caused that wasteland, I personally think that day breaker destroyed the world.
I've only seen 1 reactor so far who hasn't known about Daybreaker.
All the comments are hate on Canada. :l I'm Canadian so yeah.. :( Makes me unhappy. Really enjoyed this episode for Princess Luna.
"Official" releases happened. No more excuses for not having 12 and 13 out. ;)
Actually, there's a matter of editing and rendering.
Also making the intro PMVs.
This is the second best episode of the series.
15:47 Try replacing the word "day" with "lay" in each of Luna and Celestia's lines here and see if it doesn't still make sense. :)
Luna's teeth falling out. My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, you know ... for kids.
Hey Luffy, the vid isnt available
King of Omega it was available for all of us. Maybe it's your phone/app?
Dat Boi I dont think there is such thing as that. At least, I have never heard of a phone being so spoiled that it renders certain vids to be unavailable.
King of Omega weird. It's working perfectly fine for me
Dat Boi Oh well. I guess I'll try later. Maybe it is this youtube app that has some problems
I think the intro made the video be blocked for phone users.
The app does that sometimes.
My wifefoo pony was In this episode and she had her first Map Mission I wanted Starlight to be call by the Friendship Map since season 5 final but it it finally happened in this Episode keep the good work my love Starlight Glimmer i love you my Dear Starlight Glimmer
Why would you not use the Elvis cover of "Walk a mile in my shoes"?!?
well when big deals happen there followes hype, fanart, discussions, thumbnails etc its hard to stay blind and connected.
simple if something comes out early and you can’t watch it yet
just do what i do turn notifications off for everything that might spoil you and make a secondary account just for the other channels that have nothing to do with what you don’t want to be spoiled on.
i missed on the wanted special for steven universe because of my sister and i managed to avoid everything that had to do with it till i watched it later that night.
sure it still was a pain in the ass
but it worked.
7:00 for those who want to skip.
As said by many on Crunchyroll of those wanting to skip One Piece intros, "You're doing God Usopp's work."
don't feel to bad about the spoiler, I was planning on watching this episode on the Canadian release day and some how still got spoiled on daybreaker with two freaking thumbnails.
