Hi, do you use Synapse Analytics? It depends if you want to understand how Power BI, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Purview work together. This exam is testing your understanding of how these technologies work together. I would say it's worth studying for as it'll give you a great understanding of the other data platform technologies.
Hi, it really does depend on what you want to do in a role. If your role/desired role is more DAta Analyst then definitely look at the PL300. If you are likely to use Synapse Analytics then after the PL300 I would suggest the DP500.
Sebastián, te sugiero ir por el 300 dado que al revisar el contenido del DP-500, éste es más extenso. Puedes tomar el PL300 como un paso hacia el DP-500. (Yo tengo el PL-300 y me acabo de enterar hace poco de esta nueva certificación, entonces me puse a investigar de qué va).
It depends on what your focus is. PL-300 is Power BI analyst focused, whereas DP-500 has more Power BI admin and other Azure data platform tech. If you’re more data analyst I would say concentrate on PL-300 first
@@DatahaiBI thanks for the reply. I currently work as BI developer and I work more on ETL using ssis to and reporting using ssrs. Which of the two certifications PL-300 and DP-500 would you advice if I aspire to go into data engineering field on azure platform?

It’s definitely lighter on the data engineering side. It’s more about how to connect to and get data from Synapse Analytics rather than getting data into it.

@@Aussified Yes DP203 is a much deeper engineering exam, DP500 is more high-level.
