If I forget to take out butter, I put really hot water in a glass and pour it out then put the glass over my butter and the steam softens it without melting it.

Ms. Fancy pants with the curls! Josh, brilliant idea of using a teaspoon to indent, I always used my thumb and there were always the two cracked ends. Ironically I would use the teaspoon to fill with jam. My thumbprint cookies were rolled in egg whites, then chopped walnuts which added a tremendous amount of crunch and depth of flavor. :-). You guys are the best!

The cookies are so spectacular! I’m vegan so I used earth balance butter, swapped the egg yolk for a heaping tbsp of vanilla soy yogurt, and used almond milk in the glaze. Other than that, I followed the recipe to a T. Everything came together quickly and they taste amazing! Perfectly tender and buttery with just enough sweetness, and the raspberry adds a nice tartness! They remind me of Knottsberry Farm cookies. I always make something similar but they are raspberry boats (in the shape of a boat and with strings of dough across the top) and they are delicious! I’m gonna try making these soon too!

I wish this video was around 8 years ago when I made raspberry cheesecake thumbprint cookies... these tips woulda helped me out so much! Mine cracked.. haha
Hey listen. The cookies will taste the same. It does take practice to get them perfect. I only took pictures of the best looking ones and even a few of mine cracked a little.

I use salted butter with most desserts. I feel the extra salt really adds a nice flavor to most recipes, but if you are watching your sodium intake...the recipe definitely does not need it.

We've gotten a lot faster, but it depends on the recipe. I shoot overhead video, take product shots and build website and recipe the first day. The next day we shoot with Angela and make the recipe again...*we do all filming/lights/audio ourselves. Then it will take me 1-2 days to edit the video. I edit everything myself. So...about 3-4 days.

Oh my... Josh, what would happen if I use wax paper in the oven?? I fall under Angela's category, yesterday I ran out of parchment paper for baking cookies, today I picked some wax paper up at the grocery store in place of it. I didn't realize there was a difference!?! Also, this looks delicious!!! ❤️🤭
From Google: Wax paper is not heat-resistant; the wax will melt at high temperatures and the paper itself can catch on fire. Don't use wax paper to line baking sheets or cake pans or put it in a hot oven
