    Hey guys- long time no see.
    James’ crew redid the driveshafts for my 95 Hummer in the pic to the left way back like 10 years ago. Still prefect but the sticker is kinda worn off! Haha.
    First used Adam’s for work in the late 90’s. Honest guys with best materials and never ripped people off. How do I know? For a few years I became a Mac tools guy and their shop was one of my many stops. Tool guys learn quickly which shops do shotty work or dishonest things. James runs a top level shop for parts and repairs- never once saw them wrong someone.
    See ya- Will

    Can you grease the cv needle zerk with the driveshaft installed or do you need to drop it when servicing?

    • @AdamsDriveshaft
      @AdamsDriveshaft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can grease it while it's installed, but we recommend taking it out, so you can move the grease back and forth over the splines on the slip yoke.

    I can see the CV grease point but I can't get the needlepoint grease tip on it to push grease into it when installed. Do I have to unbolt the flange to grease this CV grease point?

    • @AdamsDriveshaft
      @AdamsDriveshaft  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's easiest if you do, but it's possible to reach that fitting installed, it's a little tricky and needs to be at just the right angle.

    • @CurtisBowers
      @CurtisBowers ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdamsDriveshaft It is very tricky. Tried twice with flat grease fitting at different angles and never could get the grease needle tip to stick. Grease just went past the fitting.

  • @JeepJeep234
    @JeepJeep234 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Would the moly grease that RCV brands be acceptable in your opinion for the drive shaft? I have used it in everything else on my Jeep and it does really well on everything sofar. Ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings.

    • @AdamsDriveshaft
      @AdamsDriveshaft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as it's high temp, high pressure, you should be good to go.

    • @JeepJeep234
      @JeepJeep234 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AdamsDriveshaft Ok, I appreciate that it's not some special brand that you guys require. RCV axles do that but in their defense, it's some seriously good grease. Synergy does it too but I don't think their special grease is really any better than a tube of mobile 1 high temp Molly. Especially for $50 a tube.

    I have a question, why does extreme terrains description of your HD series 1310 CV for YJ Wranglers say it only fits 1988-1993 YJs with yoke style sye?
    I have a 1987 with 6" lift, SYE on a 231J transfer case and the same bolt-in axle Dana 35 as the 1988 and 1989 YJs, what am I missing?
