Good job young man. When I was a couple years older than you a half a century ago (the late 70's) I bought a used TC Hawken like that that only a 45 cal from a friends dad who had not finished it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I had to make my own possibles bag but I do have my grandfather's powder horn that is very much like yours. Of all the shooting I have ever done I think I enjoyed that as much as anything. In a year or two I will teach my grandson to shoot it just like you. Will be looking forward to seeing and sharing your loading video. Thanks.
Those older T/C rifles were real good guns. Renegades, Hawkens, and my personal favorite, the White Mountain Carbine. I still have it and always will. Real good shooter and easy to handle. I finally jumped on the "Inline" after they were out for a while. I bought the Black Diamond XR. Accurate, but pain in the butt to clean with a scope on it. Then I bought the Omega, and loved it. It was very accurate (under an inch) at a hundred yds. with 360 gr. bullets and sabots. I will not part with it either!
I cut firewood with my fathers uncle and we did all kind of ranch work also. I saved my money to buy my first muzzleloader for my 16th birthday in 1976 (my dad was with me) it is a TC Seneca in .36 caliber and I still shoot her. My youngest grandson will get her once I go to the happy hunting grounds. Great video young man and I subscribed.
Extremely well spoken young man, absolutely he was raised right he’s gonna grow up to be a Navy SEAL or something
@rooknado hahaha..I just want him to grow up to be "the good guy" That's what I've always told my boys.
Whatever the situation...just be the good guy.
@@theoldstyleoutdoors9351 You do an exceptional job. his safe, disciplined, and precise shooting is one of many testaments to that 👆
Sir, you're a good dad. Don't let that gun go. It will tell many tales long after when he's showing his kids shooting and hunting skills. God bless.
My Dad bought me a Thompson Center Hawken back in the 70s and I still have it to this day
Times were great back then 😊

That’s awesome young man, and I love the ball starter. I might have to make one of those.

You got some cool equipment young man!
I built a .54 cal. from a kit. I had a fiberglass ramrod that I ordered so I wouldn't accidentally break my wooden one.
Very nice young man
Awesome..

Hey dad good job with the kiddo! Maybe next time show the hits on target as well. Thanks and enjoy.
Way to go Pop!
Be careful how you use the ball starter, push down with your palm bc you could pinch your fingers.
