Splitting Boulders is Easy

Here's how I split boulders into flat faced stones to use in construction.
I use a hammer Drill, and splitting wedges. You can get both online.
It's a $100 hammer drill and $15 wedges and you don't need much muscle at all.

Hardest part i found was standing on boulders to drill them, specially in the rain.

this would have taken much longer back before power tools when you had to use a hammer to drill the holes. but when you think about it, this is exactly how they built the railways. yes, they blasted alot instead of using wedges, but this is still how they carved train tunnels through mountains in the 1800's

Also, in cold weather, they would fill the holes with water, and when it froze, would expand and split the rock that way.

Why doing this? Is it possible to find something inside the middle of round rocks like this?

A standard percussion rock bit. You have to have a percussion drill. I think mine cost about $100 US

It’s a half inch hammer bit.You use it with a hammer drill, not a regular drill.

They make hand drills for doing it that way. Same holes, just takes longer.
