SOPs for processing units depends on the type of waste ..it might vary from one plant to another and based on the calorific value of the waste the processing step is decided...more calorific value would be better for incinerator... And based on the type of waste whether reprocessing is required ( ex waste oil) or landfill is required ( ETP sludge/ industrial slag)it will be decided

Basel convention was signed in 1989, but became effective by 1992 and the law was further ammended in 1995 .. ammendment of rules are done to make the rules more stringent..
