David Cooperfield bathed there. I know that because Im reading the book at the moment. Now I know how it looks like. Thank you.
Is it still in use? How much does it cost to make a reservation?
That was a great video, the presenter, Joolz, has one heck of a sense of humor! Thanks for making my morning a little more amusing.
Thanks Peter. Yes, the videos are meant to be a light hearted look at things in London. We found this amusing because it wasn't really a Roman Bath! My favourite part of my videos is if my cameraman decides to argue with me. He doesn't do it enough in my opinion!
even though it is not roman it is still quite interesting and worth seeing.
It is quite near to King's college Strand Campus! I studied there for more than one year and never noticed this!!!!! Awesome
Yes, it's usually closed but you can see it through the window. A most peculiar place really.
Yeah that place is so close to Temple tube station.
I'm originally from Bath and I can tell you that that ain't no Roman Bath. I know a Roman Bath when I see one. Even the ones in Bath were bastardised by the Victorians because they thought they didn't look Roman enough.
Yes, indeed! The lady in the video was a bit upset when she found out (and my cameraman was equally non-plussed!). That said, I found it interesting enough but I like anything. It is certainly a bit misleading! Maybe they need a new sign!
So I think this is a building built over a spring that used to feed a fountain then?
Thank you that was really interesting...I have always passed by it but never had chance to go inside :)
Love it! Is it still open to visitors?
Hahahahahahahahaha! Love Jooolz' comment at the end! However, thanks for posting this most interesting video about the baths - we are always learning something new... well, in this case, old!
Thanks. Yes, I think I should argue with my cameraman more often. It's my favourite part! I don't profess to be an expert; more just an enthusiast! My cameraman was rather non-plussed!
who saw aldwych old station in the vid
Interesting going to visit!
Great! I'm glad you liked it. You need to call to arrange a time or you can just look through the window. I love weird things like this.
What's wrong with Tudor bricks? Did Henry VIII spit on them or something?
Thank you, you is best geoff :) Much interesting history in london
What was the song at the beginning?
Rigsby
Sneaky old Tudors. 😂
