- Is there anything more enjoyable than reading texts written by the great legends of our Islamic history? Today I am sharing with you my current collection of Islamic books. Don't be fooled, I have not read them all :) But I want to share with you what I like about them.

For a person like me , I have insatiable thirst for knowledge , looking at your collection of Islamic books , l am impressed . Do soak in as much knowledge as possible , you are blessed one to have such a wonderful collection. But last not the least , Allah judges one by Amal , not by knowledge he/she possesses. ... Allah Hafiz.

The stories of the prophets book by ibn kathir is one of my favorite books. What a wealth of knowledge in that book that gripped me. I hope you love it when you begin ♥️

Are there good trusted islamic online bookstores that have good selection of different quran translations and other islamic books?

A good book collection but with due respect, not to judge but I find some books as modified copy of the classical Islamic book like Hisn ul Muslim. It's better to go for the classic scholars like saykh uthymeen, ibn baaz, Albani over Hamza yousuf, Omar Suleiman. I don't have any issue with any of the scholars but I think it is best to go with the original source rather than having an modernized and opinionated book.
Wa Alaikumussalam! You’re right, there is nothing that can compare to the classic scholars. I think the books by current imams like the one you mentioned are for those just getting into learning about the deen, to get a taste, in properly translated and presented book. It’s not meant to be an end-all, be-all. The ulema can never be overlooked in property study.

Dear sister, with utmost respect.
When we go and look into the belief of some scholars, that will make us worry about what to read what not to. Because so-called modern scholars take any critical matter and have an opinion that goes against the understanding of Quran and Sunnah. In some cases it leads to Major sin and for some it is enough to take them from the fold of Islam.
For example Yasir qadhi he challenges, he stated in many places that Quran have already been changed. So that is a disagreement with an article of faith.
Omar Suleiman stated that as few decades back interracial marriages were a taboo but is accepted. Similarly in the next few decades homosexuality and their marriages will be accepted. As Islamic preacher doesn't know that in Quran not less than five different places Homosexually is prohibited. And the whole people of Lut AS was the destroyed due to this.
Ah I didn’t get from your original comment that you had issues with the imams. Well… I can’t really say much to that except that there seems to be a misunderstanding from a culture and language perspective. I would say to listen to the entire lecture where you heard those things go clear these up. “Is accepted” doesn’t mean by Islam, but by the society/culture. Changing the Quran… Yasir Qadhi has said over and over again that it is unchanged, I’ve heard this one myself.
Brother, I have a feeling we aren’t going to agree over this (and that’s okay) so I will say this: When it comes to our brothers and sisters, whether “famous” or not, we have to be very careful, double check a hundred times, before stating something that maligns their aqeedah/iman. Be 100% certain and should we feel the need to share the information, youtube comments is not the place.
