My air 2 s crashed using active track I was disappointed because first time I used it and it hit tree branch but when I seen on TH-cam it worked amazingly! Iv put the vid on my TH-cam so u can see if I done anything wrong
ahhh man that’s a bummer. I just checked out your video. Those small branches and even large trees with leaves will get you 99% of the time. Even with drones like my M3 I’ve crashed into branches and broken the drone before. I’m glad you are able to get flying again with minimal damage!
thank you! yep I’ve saved a couple drones by searching with my others. I’m still trying to make less mistakes/crashes but it’s good to have a back up plan!!
I had 2 crashes with my dji mini 2 first I had a flyaway and it fell from like 150 feet and landed on grass and it survived second I tried to drop a parachute but the wind knocked it up on the prop it got tangled and fell 60 feet it was fine but it had a crack so I glued it and it flys perfectly
The gimbal on the Air 2S is made of metal with plastic covers over the gimbal motors. It IS sturdier than the Air 2 from my experience. That being said, the gimbal on the Air 2S is heavier too so it'll take slightly harder hits bc the drone weighs ever so slightly more. Love the S&R idea with your backup though.
hey thanks for your comment. I was actually watched a 3 month review video yesterday from originaldobo and he mentioned it is metal too. I think you make a great point about the extra weight on the camera. I absolutely love my Air 2S and so far all of my crashes have been my fault!!
The air 2 you can buy and replace the gimbal yourself, unfortunately for the air 2s it has to be sent to dji to repair. The issue is that only dji can flash the air2s gimbal
I think the gimbal is not as sturdy as the Air 2, you are not shy about those crashes, glad DJI has refresh, stay safe Adam

haha no definitely not. I just try to have a good attitude because once they break there isn’t anything I can do to undo it. cheers and fly safe!!
