Under rated part of this is imagining Lae'zel having to pester Orpheus into letting the reunion happen. I'd like to imagine she had to pull the "We freed you from eternal imprisonment outside of the flow of time" card so they can borrow the wizards for a night off.
@@Pottan23 when she asks you to stay she means it, that's why you have the option to have her stay in baldur's gate with you and she happily does so if you choose to. The option to have her go out and fight for her people is to sacrifice love for justice. It would have been a nice option to have other races besides gith be able to join her in her fight but I don't think gith society would have been okay with a non-gith riding a dragon even if it was the savior of Orpheus.

I love Lae'zel, my first playthrough I was a drow male, romanced her and in the end had to chose whether to let her go fight or ask her to stay, I wanted to go with her, but didnt have the option, cool to see its a Gith one.
There are two ways to accomplish this. One with Karlach and definitely a bad choice as becoming a Mindflayer is fate worse than death. Her soul will be destroyed completely and won't be able to be saved unless a divine being intervines. She won't ever taste freedom, or anything else really. The other one, which is also in my opinion the best one is with Gale. Just let him destroy the Netherbrain by sacrificing himself. *spoilers ahead*. This will also make Mystra forgive him and grant him access to Elysium, equivalent of heaven for Gale.
@@kaanmuhammedgunes1879 Interesting twist is that it might not be destroyed, just transformed beyond the ability of the gods to recognize. If you suicide as a mid Flayers you can chat with Withers and he’s flabbergasted by the whole thing, as it should be impossible

How did you prevent Orpheus from becoming a mind flayer while also not becoming one?
Have Karlach in your party when you free Orpheus and she will volunteer to undergo ceremorphosis since she is going to die anyway
