When we go on our random back road trips, we look for small town diners with parking lots populated by pickups, 18 wheelers, or law enforcement vehicles, (not the kind with flashing lights). I'm thinking cheese and carmel would be a winning combination too. Love the idea of wrapping the plates in plastic. Great tip for camping too. Fun video that again has my stomach rumbling!
Exactly, that is perfect for road trips! If a 18 wheeler driving across the whole country chose to stop THERE it has GOT to be great! So many restaurants did the plastic trick here, it was brilliant! We haven't had a dishwasher at either of our AirBNBs in Mexico so far, so we're thinking about doing that here too instead of hand washing hahaha. Thanks so much for your support Mike!!!
Hi I really enjoyed this vlog. Very informative so keep it up ☺️☺️ me and my bf are planning to stay in downtown too to experience cancun fully. I just wanted to ask, did you ever get food poisoning after trying local food?
Thank you so much! You're going to have such a great time! So many people don't visit downtown when they go and it was our favorite part! We were there for a month, and never got food poisoning. The main thing we were cautious of is the water, but all of the locals we met don't drink the tap water there either so it is pretty unlikely that a restaurant or food vendor would use it. We tried to keep an eye on that though when ordering agua frescas (but never saw anyone using anything but filtered), and bought big jugs of water from convenience stores to fill our water bottles from and carry everywhere since its a lot cheaper than at restaurants. Have an incredible time!!!!!
