This chapter isn’t too difficult, but the Tantrum and Nemesis Prime bosses can be quite a challenge. Tantrum is extremely buffed up with a massive 600% melee damage buff and you need to be able to remove the rampage resistance buffs (with ranged, melee and special hits) to do damage. This can be especially tricky given that he’s also on the always annoying absorb projectile mod. You need to make sure you land a melee and ranged hit before you launch a special to remove the rampage buff. You’ll finish this fight most cleanly with a very hard hitter; use any bot with a monster special. Nemesis Prime is also incredibly tanky being on both energon shield and the gain armor mods; the gain armor mod makes him essentially immune to damage once he gets a few of those buffs. He’s also on physical resistance which makes him even tankier. You need to time your attacks so that they land when the shield is down. Heavy DoT bots can break through and do damage but you’ll absolutely want to bring an armor breaker/nullifier to deal with that armor mod. Bots like OGP, Starscream, UM and Windblade will do well, and OGM is particularly useful here given his ability to steal those buffs. Cheetor’s feral strike can be effective here as well if you don’t have an armor breaker. By the way, players from the old game may have noticed that the bosses and mission titles in this chapter are quite literally copied from Act 4 of the original game. The mods are somewhat different but the opponents are the same. Hopefully Act 6 will be entirely new.
Nemesis took me a few tries. I used G1 Optimus to beat him senseless before Kabam shut down the game, but this time my top bot is Soundwave so it was a lot harder. Dinobot made short work of Tantrum though.
they toned down necrotronus's buffs, removing the fatigue mod was nice but i was hoping he would retain the same rating in the kabam version (29k), pretty good nonetheless.
Yeah removing fatigue was great because that mod was ridiculous and cheap. But I agree this Necro should have been harder. The stats difference between the two bosses is huge, more dramatic than even the rating suggests. The new necro has about 66k hp and 5500 attack. The old Necro had over 160k hp and 7200 attack. It’s a dramatic difference, but hopefully act 6 will be entirely new and difficult.
