Awesome Joker Model. Batman, The Batman TV series and Star Trek TOS are my main collections.

The Joker looks good Lou as does the rest of the gang. I like your use of magnets again. Those figures bring back fond memories of that old TV series I loved so much as a kid. I remember the little town where I grew up (Louisburg) had a Roses "Dime" store as we called it and it sold model kits. I remember well my mom buying me the original Aurora Batmobile kit when it first came out. I loved that kit so much!! Keep up the good work!!

Good job on the face and pin stripes. The bomb is a nice touch also

Hi Lou, the adjustment you made on the eye brows was a huge improvement on the kit along with the bomb and pin stripes, inspiring build, Thanks.

Very cool build up, the magnet idea was brilliant.

Great work Lou, that's how I was thinking of doing the pinstripes. Good to see it worked well. The sculpt doesn't look that great on the box but looks better with your painting and changing the eyebrows. Adding the bomb was a nice touch.

Lou, I saw a little blue drone from Silent Running on your shelf sometime during the great Reliant 350 scale build. I actually scratch built one that is about 90% cannon from paper. I'd love to see that guy get a cameo appearance on one of your weekly dispatches.

Good to hear that Flo decided to blow elsewhere.
A big storm is nothing to sneeze at.
I've been lucky to AVOID being in areas when storms hit!
I literally missed the one tornado that actually hit the area I grew up in BY MERE HOURS!
I moved out of state in Florida and 2 years later hurricanes hit where I lived in that state TWICE.
(The home I lived in apparently wasn't heavily damaged. Still, getting boomed by the space shuttle on at least two returns from missions is not an experience I would recommend -- especially if you're sleeping in the middle of the night and it feels like freight train collided with the house!)
I guess I'm overdue to see something like Big Foot or a UFO someday...

Joker came out great! You had a super idea with using the magnets! I had noticed that the base didn't quite come together! Ut really does look like they quit trying to make it gel! Maybe they new Moebius was on the way out?! I keep hoping that someone will make some resin replacement heads like they did with the AMT Star Trek figures!!

with the untimely passing of Tom Parker, that seems unlikely. He was a master.

I think you videos are great! good job going into the details of your build. The only thing is that the bases do interlock. Robin is backwards on his base. otherwise keep up the great work !!

Now that you mention purple and green color scheme, Brainiac and Lex luthur also have a green purple color scheme, LOL.

    More top work Lou!
You need to have, in large comic book style, the word 'Bomb' on the bomb!

The face sculpt on the statue looks closer to the COMIC BOOK Joker than the actor.
I agree -- Caesar had a rounder, wider face than that.
I wonder if the sculptor was subliminally influenced by the comics or not.
That's the thing you find out quickly about artists. Some are better at capturing likeness on paper or sculpts than other. They tend to fall in the category where they're not as careful and don't have as great an attention to detail as they should.
That's what kept me from getting a lot of licensed comics based on live-action movies. If the artist can't capture the likeness of the actor, it sort of kills the book for me. For a superhero comic, you're used to a caricaturized or stylized version of the character and the style/design of the character carries through regardless of who draws that character so I can still identify Superman or Spider-Man regardless of the individual artist's drawing style.

Am I remembering something wrong or did Romero wear at least 3 different-colored wigs as the Joker on the Batman TV series?
My memory's not reliable on this -- the only Batman live-action I've seen from that era recently was the 1966 which probably holds up better than any of the live-action Bat movies made since!
Anyway, I think they used green and blonde wigs on that series if I'm not mistaken.
NOTE: Looked it up and an article on a website said the wig only LOOK orange, blonde, and yellow because of different lighting!
Oh well, always knew something was up with the lighting on the color TV series in the 1960s. They sure don't light up TV shows like that anymore!
The closest they've come since in a motion picture a 1960s color scheme is the 1990 Dick Tracy movie. The Notorious Bettie Page (2005) had some great color sequences but I understood they "hyper-saturated" the color to get a technicolor look.

That was awesome! Lou, you are one of my favorite builders. Can you please set up a Facebook page like Auggie did over at IM? Plus, I'd love to see the entire Doctor Who shirt you were wearing in the beginning of the video. Been a DW fan for about 35 years. Keep up the amazing work!

Hey Lou, the Joker is looking great. Are you going to make the paint masks available for the Joker's pants? I am stuck at that stage of the build. I found a great colour for his suit, but unfortunately, it was a model colour paint (magenta), so I had to thin it down 70-30 with mr levelling thinner and put some flow improver in to get it to airbrush well. I am going to 3d print my bomb. I don't know why Moebius didn't include it seeing that they included such great props for the other characters. His face may need a bit of a re-sculpt too, I haven't decided. I am joining my stands using apoxie sculpt to fill in the gaps. I have Robin facing the correct way too.

It's right there at 9:45. Vallejo mechanic color magenta.

Hi Lou, I always look forward to seeing your videos on Friday night. Glad Florence missed you and the collection. Have you done Moebius's Black Widow? I'm working on it now and it has no resemblance to Scarlett Jo.

Disappointing that Romero's likeness is so off. Odd in this day and age of either 3D modeling or being able to work much larger than final. I do like your different sized magnets--clever. And those pinstripes on clothing are always a topological nightmare...
(Those old-style bombs are called 'black powder bombs!')
The final head details help the likeness a lot. And-- looks like some additional stone inserts need to be fashioned to help the base...

Considering the sculpt was done by Jeff Yagher, and Jeff is known for sculpting spot-on likenesses.

That model bears so little resemblance to Cesar Romero that I wonder if there's some sort of licensing BS going on. Like Moebius could get the rights to The Joker _character_ but someone else has dibs on Romero's likeness and wouldn't play ball? Although it seems to be a generic failure in kits of real people, they so seldom look like the actual subject. Similarly, I would recommend to tourists visiting London to avoid Madame Tussaud's Waxworks Museum, because the facial likenesses are very poor. We have lots of excellent tourist attractions here, don't waste your precious holiday time on that one.
