Fantastic vid! I wish y'all had this a couple of years ago when it was released! Ive had both the standard custom and hot rod custom for a while now. I would love for yall to do a deep dive on the custom panel (using it in different scenarios) and also using the Revival Drive with something like the Cab M + (and how you all exactly set it). I think it would be a beneficial video for a lot of people.
@@EverettVernon72 That maybe a question Origin Effects can better answer but to my ears, yes the Hot Rod has more gain but that gain sounds different. Given that, the original RevivalDrive has plenty of gain that I need and I usually use it the most with most drive or boost infront of it. Cheers!
@@Mordi_B If you're recording at home, you could go straight into your interface and use IRs in your DAW. Running into the Capture X might cause issue if only because it's expecting an amp speaker out signal. You could try it. You could also use a power amp (or the effects return of an amp) to interface with it.
Love mine. Sat in the fence for ages as it's quite a lot of money but it's really worth it and I'm going to sell some OD pedals now. Superb sounds and so easy to tweak. ❤
I have both a RevivalDRIVE Custom with a foot switch and a Magma57. Do you consider the Magma57 a modulation pedal? If so, should it be placed after the RevivalDRIVE and before delay and reverb pedals? Thanks.
We consider it an amp with modulation pedal. We'd recommend having either the RevivalDRIVE turned on, or the Magma57, as if they're seperate amps. I'd place it at the end of your drive section.

How much more gain does that hot rod have? I was thinking about getting one because I currently use a standard with a clean boost

Very cool video!!!! Question: Can I run the pedal straight in a Two Notes Torpedo X?
The Torpedo X might require more output given it's also a load box.
@@OriginEffectsUK so i need a power amp? (Thank you for answering)🌸
