    The way that pedal cleaned up when you changed attack was what impressed me most. The tones were great, but that kind of responsiveness in a pedal seems rare to me.

    Hell yeah! So glad you reviewed the RevivalDrive Compact. I’ve had the full size regular custom model, and the regular compact model. Right now the full size hot rod custom model is the centerpiece of my board. I’m running a Vertex Boost MKII into it as a clean boost, and the combination is awe inspiring! Those go into a BigSky and Timeline and out to whatever amp I’m using (set clean). It’s incredible!

    So I use the non hit rod version as an OD of sorts with the iridium. It allows for a "more of" sound with some added harmonics. Also can then put certain effects between them. You should experiment with it in that application as well!

    Hey Leon, I got a question and it’s been bugging me for sometime. Will a modded ADA MP-1 3tm pair great with JCM-900 4100 or no? I was also interested in Mesa Tri-axis but that won’t work with a Marshall😂😂

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to use either into the fx return of the Marshall, effectively only using the marshall as a power amp. gigged a rack rig into a DSL fx return for years

    Another great video Leon, loved it!
    I'm a little confused on exactly where in the signal chain you used this pedal, maybe you can shed a bit of light on the subject.
    Would you use this (for example) at the end of your pedal effects, and before your IR simulator? The same question applies to the rack setup, was that going in to the front of the rack?
    That's a great power amp simulator, and something I've been saying for years since people have been using IR's, the missing element has always been the power amp. I've always thought of it like this: If you plugged your guitar into your pre amp, then into your speakers, does that sound complete?
    Thanks for posting!

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I look at it like an amp + load box in one - so I'd use it before any time based effects and after any drives/comps/filters.
      The first example was guitar - boost pedal - RD - Poly - Interface, the rack example was guitar - boost - RD - poly - Stereo line mixer with fx on aux sends - interface

  • @hoosierdaddy2308
    @hoosierdaddy2308 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    That thing sounds great to me. I think that and an IR pedal going direct would be great, or even better with a power amp and a small cab for gigging or recording.
