- Troubled student Park Ji Hoon (Yeo Joon) comes from an abusive, yet wealthy family and even though he is quite popular at school, everyone wants to use him. When he meets Bae In Hyuk (Nam Soo Hyun) he immediately recognizes someone who has no interest in his money. His attempts at friendship are met with harsh words, even mockery, but he persists.
This coming of age story about young people in their twenties and the problems they face in university. Nam Soo Hyun and Yeo Joon, two boys with contrasting personalities, unexpectedly become friends when they work on a project together.
Depicts the realistic worries and conflicts of university students in their 20's, centered around 1st-year student Yeo Joon. Even though Yeo Joon has an attractive appearance and comes from a wealthy background, he carries pain inside. His character is a puppy-dog freshman who takes a liking to a sunbae and follows him around, leading to an unlikely friendship between two very different boys. (MyDramaList)

I hope the brothers have a happy ending. The parents don't deserve either of them. The mother ticked me off not doing anything while Yeo Jun was being beaten for years and yet she can call the cops for her older son for going into the room with the father. She is just as emotionally abusive as the father was abusive from the edits that I've watched. I love this video just because it shows why the older brother was the way he was to protect Yeo Jun.
The part where joon cried for days was relatable. I also cried for hours realising all the sacrifices that the brother did for him. Worst part was thinking how I didn’t realise it sooner. All the signs were there.
The parents abused him but warned him not to mention it to his brother.
The brother was the one paying for his house and all other expenses.
The brother transferred to a different university leaving the prestigious SNU
He insisted on giving him ride whenever possible.
He told him to stay away from his parents. He only wanted to protect him.
He threw his own life away and became the perfect person that his parents wanted and hoped that they wouldn’t expect that from his little bro and that way he could protect him but it went all wrong :( he thought that he could make all the money and let his little bro live his life freely but :(
Tbh it's very sad. Even though his brother love him. His mother only love his brother especially when his brother get beaten ,she ask for help but when he get beaten he got only pain and 💔
Yes! This bothered me so very much. She only seemed to care about the older son. And it just broke my heart watching his face when his mother was crying at the door and he realized that she didn't really love him at all.😢❤
Yea she was a terrible mother to him......I mean, they're both her sons, and I really love the brother for having protected him but it was so wrong of him to make him feel like he had no one no family, he could have at least shown him that he could rely on him and that he loved him and that even if he had no " parents" at least they had each other.......just wish he had taken that road instead
I agree. That’s why Joon never told his brother that he was still being hit. The best way to protect him was to be honest with him. Or better yet, tell.

What is the name of the drama
This drama hits quite close to home for me, both with the family abuse and blatant favouritism from the mother towards the elder son, so it really does bring out emotions other dramas fail to do so. It’s a heavy drama, but I like that it shows that hardship doesn’t last forever and it makes you stronger, whether it’s from poverty or familial problems. Remember, you can get through whatever it is you’re going through, and there’s always going to be brighter times waiting ahead of you. Just be patient, but also don’t be afraid to call for help if you need it there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Stay safe and healthy, live to see the light ❤️

Even though I never watch this drama but it's still feels so sad, like I could just cry in a second ☹️😭
It is a beautiful kind of sad, it made me cry and think and connect with the characters... but it had a happy ending, so even though the series was emotionally exhausting it felt happy and resolved in the end😍😍😘😘🥰

I just ended watching this and oh boy... I was crying so badly at some points. All the hurtful strings in my body was pulled. Abusive childhood, being poor, being insecure and all that jazz... I love and hate this show at the same time but gosh I recommend watching it! All that I would add is some psychological help in Jun's storyline because I swear that all three - mom, brother and him - should totally get some of that. Also wondering of brother could get his life again in his own hands after so long time of giving it up to his father...
If the show makes you think and feel things I consider it a good one. Amen. 😂

Actually I accidentally click this drama on iQiyi when in first premiered and it was the most beautiful accident. Hehe its a very simple but deep drama. 🥺
I literally watched every mv you made of this video and I can’t believe how many actors I recognized. The boy with the blond hair is also in weak hero class and he was amazing. He always plays such tragic roles but i love how he dipicts them! As for his roommate, its crazy cuz he’s from why her but I’m surprised he only won award for new actor when he was in this and did so well! Im so glad he gets a happy ending ❤ and the girl I recognized from true beauty❤ i might end up watching the whole show since its only 12 eps but man imma be crying 😂 maybe because its so heavy, they made it short.

Yes! It is one of my favorite drama stories now. I wish it wasn't 12 episodes but at least 16 or 20! Each episode made me think and feel so much more than most dramas!😍😍🥰

@@girlwhostayedupallnight Did you notice that Yeo Jun was wearing different clothes when he was being beaten in flash backs? I watched the show a second time and I noticed the difference. During one beating, he was wearing red. During another, he was wearing green. Was he abused without the brother knowing? The father didn't keep to that deal not to hit Jun. I think that Jun was just so traumatized that he didn't remember all of the abuse clearly. Also, it was obvious that his father was still hitting him, just not enough to show or when his brother was near. I'm surprise that he didn't connect the clues sooner and realize that the one hitting him now, was the same one hitting him in the past.
