You will get more variety in the Spartan Edition, and I’m assuming there will be more units releasing in the future. This is the first step to get it on the table
Recon edition is a ok value the Spartan Edition is the better value sure it's over $100 but comparing the price point one comes with way more :) the recon edition if anything is good for stores to have for demos to help promote the main edition
@@SirJamesIGamerfuzion i totally agree. I feel the Recon is the set to buy if you’re not sure if you want to buy in all the way. If you want to just play casually with your boardgame friends or to try out the system to see if you want to dive in head first.
I picked up a couple copies for me and friends, I like how it is set up to be able to play it right away and it plays like the game, I was talking to the owner and he was excited for sprued models later to add a lot od customization for models down the line, and it can have great potential for organized play

Quite a lot of these issues have been talked about by Mantic, they announced a point based system post launch when they start to release other Spartans and weapon options. Out of the box 2 identical teams is best for a fair and balanced game, the Spartan edition comes with 8 more Spartans (4 new unique poses) and if you paint them all differently there’s nothing stopping 1 player taking all the brawlers and the other all the deadeyes, mixing and matching will change up scenarios.
@@StuartMacGregor1for sure. I haven’t been in the loop with all that’s been talked about and I feel like a good percentage of consumers might not be as well. It’s a solid product for sure. More sculpts would have been nice but like you said the two identical squads against each other is definitely the best balanced way to go.
so its just going to be spartan vs spartan like a tabletop of the multiplayer? thats a bit disappointing. I was hoping for UNSC vs covenant in massive table top game experience like a halo wars table top.
@@ShadrackMeduson in this Recon edition it is. There was a Spartan edition that had another faction as well and there will be more squads and factions released later. For this particular product though it’s just red spartan squad against blue Spartan squad.
Deadzone is a great game and I think will be well suited to Halo. Sadly I think the recon edition is overpriced and lacks variety for the price point. The Spartan edition is much more interesting and would be the way to go for people on my opinion. If the recon edition had all eight Spartan sculpts in it (4 for red and 4 for blue) it would have felt a bit better value.

I don’t know if it’s overvalued at $75 because there is a decent play experience in there to get started and, like I said in the video, I think it does a great job of making you want to buy more. I think you’ll see more Spartan Editions sold over Recon but I know Spartan Editions are sold out and I don’t know about it’s availability after launch.
I don’t think the Spartan edition will see retail release. Mantic seems pretty solid in their stance that the Spartan package is a pre-order thank you gesture. We might see a similar delux version in retail eventually, but it won’t have all of the Spartan pre-order contents.
Yeah probably. Im sure it all had to go through the license holder though. Being that it's two teams of 4 units its not a horrible image since it sets the right expectation.

I plan to buy this and attempt to paint the minis as me and my friends in games Spartans the best I can

I kind of got that impression as well. I did see it available on a few online retailers but I think it was just a quick initial launch release.
They could have done better with the cover of the box.
