FYI for anyone interested in Coffee Break- it’s a really lovely fragrance, but the coffee note is almost impossible to smell. If you are looking for a coffee-centered fragrance, this isn’t it, despite the name. It’s a creamy, somewhat spicy lavender scent
It’s crazy how scent can change from person to person. Coffee Break on me was a very sweet, creamy coffee scent. I was shocked to find out there was lavender in the notes 😭 because it was nowhere for me

To anyone who is interested in Tower 28’s SOS spray: the active ingredient in it is called Hypochlorous acid, which can be bought off Amazon for about £4 in the form of baby-safe cleaning spray which has the EXACT same ingredients list. Ive been using this for months, and trust me, it does the exact same thing for a fraction of the price.
you can make your own with electrolysis device spray, they are fairly common now due to covid. just put saltwater and let the electrolysis make you a fresh batch of Hypochlorous acid.

Funny, I guess I have gone lighter coverage since it went hot and humid last Summer in NYC, but I still use the Fenty eaze drop and bright fix under my eyes on the daily to work, (in my 50s). I feel like it’s just enough coverage and it isn’t going to melt. But when I’m ready to buy a more full coverage this winter I really want to try the LYS. Happy Friday! 💕💕

It’s the perfect mix of sweet & floral with a subtle dry down of patchouli with brown sugar so it’s not overly musky. The only downside is that it isn’t long lasting, so I carry the cute little roller ball with me and I’m okay with that 🤍

We seem to enjoy the same types of fragrances, and this year I have added the Skylar Vanilla Sky to my collection. I am loving it so far, and it layers beautifully with the Replica By the Fireplace and Tom Ford Tabacco Vanille (2 of my favorites). I also finally ordered the Patrick Ta eyeshadow palette after dreaming about it since it came out. I can’t wait to try the cream shadows!!! instead of the tower 28 sos spray one can just get a hypocholorous acid spray from brands like skinsmart for $10 (amazon carries them). these sprays have been around forever for acne and eczema absolutely nothing new in the tower 28 spray to warrant that price tag! these can be sprayed on body and underarms as well

The supergoop sunscreens break me out, especially the glow screen. Also, if you have fair skin the glow screen has a darker tint. I've been trying to use them up by mixing them with my Neutrogena age shield sunscreen which is $11 and doesn't break me out.

Julia put the cream on top of powder you won't regret it. I got same palette and I tried as he recommended putting on and it doesn't ruin your base I did it over powder didn't move a thing or pull up anything! You won't go back after doing it I promise you 🥰💕

I used to use that bump eraser as well but recently found one at the drugstore I like a little better. It's from olay I believe and I started using the body wash and lotion. No joke my arm skin is so soft since switching I really love them and can just grab them at target.

To anyone interested in the Tower 28 SOS spray there is a much more affordable alternative called SkinSmart Facial Cleanser for Acne. It is the same thing for half the price and twice the product. I have been using and loving the Tower 28, it has done so much good for my skin and I don't even think that $28 price tag(especially with 20% off) is a terrible price for it but... I mean same thing for $14 bucks and twice the product...
I’m so bad, I can’t decide what I want so my cart has been changing for 10 days now:) I like the Kosas concealer better than their foundation. The cloud set is hands down my favorite powder! It does wear so much better than the CT. I’ve noticed a lot of Patrick TA in my cart!

Hey Julia love your recommendations. I have noticed that in the Concealer section we have exactly the same preferences. I have the same 3 concealers that I love the most. Same with foundation I love the LYS one and have the Fenty one in my cart to purchase. Have a beautiful day. 🥰
Julia if you could elaborate how you use the fenty beauty eye primer that’ll be so helpful. I have it and sometimes it feels like the eyeshadow just gets stuck on it.
Do you wear primer and sunscreen together? If so, how? I’d love to try more primers but since I wear sunscreen daily, I feel like that almost negates the primer I might try to put on top of it
You might try the Shiseido Oil Free SPF 42 for face in the white bottle. I use that as my primer most days because it works really well under makeup. I always remember that facialist Caroline Hirons has said to do all your skin care, then put on your SPF as a last step. Let it dry down, then add your primer and do your makeup as you normally would.
I LOVE the revealer concealer formula but their undertones are so strange for medium deep to tan skin tones! they don't have my undertone in my shade and its super annoying to buy 3 concealers and mix em.
@@potatlife not in my experience I don't think so. Ive had mine for over 5 months and its still going good. but its more hydrating and thus more water so im guessing it does before drier more matte formulas.
@@sydneyd2094 I guess they just don’t have many undertones in especially deeper skin tones. And their tan olive concealer pulls an almost red undertone on me.

Just an FYI the josie maran "retinol" body butter has absolutely NOT a lick of retinol in it lol. it has some obscure sea plant ingredient that JM claims MAY act as retinol in the body but there is absolutely no evidence for it and to top it off it's the almost last ingredient on the list!! the regular JM body butters are cheaper for exact same ingredients minus the pinch of obscure plant ingredient
You know, I want to like Patrick Ta. And I get his deal: He’s a fairly new (“famous”) MUA in LA who hustled his way there-and is currently riding that wave. I checked out his channel and despite whatever quality of makeup he has-I just can’t get behind it-featuring early 20’s models while having a price point that is more appropriate for those over 30 -idk… it just sort of disgusts me in the way Vogue does in featuring teen models to sell to women who are established financially and impoverishing those who should be more cognizant of saving for their future (because I’m fairly certain that later they will lay the blame for not having the $ on me-my generation). I just see younger people spending more on superficial things and later claiming that they can’t afford other things. I’m not saying this is the case with you or everyone-but it is a thing. If you really think about it …it plays into the “Demise of women”-this underlying current that runs through the fabric of our society (and do men deal with that? Nope.) I don’t know if most of you can follow my line of thinking, but I, as a late Gen-X’er (who is equally annoyed at everyone younger than me making my generation into a fashion/makeup vibe versus what we really were-the anti-establishment)-idk -I feel that most people you get than me missed our point-it wasn’t just Supermodels and brown lipstick. In any case, As someone older (with money-well earned) I just can’t get behind people like this. I definitely make choices beyond the superficial. For instance-yea, I could save $ at Walmart, but-the long-term and sort of cattle call of it all doesn’t resonate with my 90’s philosophy. I just feel like people “Box and bag” generations. I can’t support that dude. I don’t care how great his products are.

To anyone interested in the Tower 28 SOS spray there is a much more affordable alternative called SkinSmart Facial Cleanser for Acne. It is the same thing for half the price and twice the product. I have been using and loving the Tower 28, it has done so much good for my skin and I don't even think that $28 price tag(especially with 20% off) is a terrible price for it but... I mean same thing for $14 bucks and twice the product...

I’m so bad, I can’t decide what I want so my cart has been changing for 10 days now:) I like the Kosas concealer better than their foundation. The cloud set is hands down my favorite powder! It does wear so much better than the CT. I’ve noticed a lot of Patrick TA in my cart!

Hey Julia love your recommendations. I have noticed that in the Concealer section we have exactly the same preferences. I have the same 3 concealers that I love the most. Same with foundation I love the LYS one and have the Fenty one in my cart to purchase. Have a beautiful day. 🥰

Do you wear primer and sunscreen together? If so, how? I’d love to try more primers but since I wear sunscreen daily, I feel like that almost negates the primer I might try to put on top of it
You might try the Shiseido Oil Free SPF 42 for face in the white bottle. I use that as my primer most days because it works really well under makeup. I always remember that facialist Caroline Hirons has said to do all your skin care, then put on your SPF as a last step. Let it dry down, then add your primer and do your makeup as you normally would.

I LOVE the revealer concealer formula but their undertones are so strange for medium deep to tan skin tones! they don't have my undertone in my shade and its super annoying to buy 3 concealers and mix em.
is it true that they go off quickly?
@@potatlife not in my experience I don't think so. Ive had mine for over 5 months and its still going good. but its more hydrating and thus more water so im guessing it does before drier more matte formulas.

@@sydneyd2094 I guess they just don’t have many undertones in especially deeper skin tones. And their tan olive concealer pulls an almost red undertone on me.

Just an FYI the josie maran "retinol" body butter has absolutely NOT a lick of retinol in it lol. it has some obscure sea plant ingredient that JM claims MAY act as retinol in the body but there is absolutely no evidence for it and to top it off it's the almost last ingredient on the list!! the regular JM body butters are cheaper for exact same ingredients minus the pinch of obscure plant ingredient

You know, I want to like Patrick Ta. And I get his deal: He’s a fairly new (“famous”) MUA in LA who hustled his way there-and is currently riding that wave. I checked out his channel and despite whatever quality of makeup he has-I just can’t get behind it-featuring early 20’s models while having a price point that is more appropriate for those over 30 -idk… it just sort of disgusts me in the way Vogue does in featuring teen models to sell to women who are established financially and impoverishing those who should be more cognizant of saving for their future (because I’m fairly certain that later they will lay the blame for not having the $ on me-my generation). I just see younger people spending more on superficial things and later claiming that they can’t afford other things. I’m not saying this is the case with you or everyone-but it is a thing. If you really think about it …it plays into the “Demise of women”-this underlying current that runs through the fabric of our society (and do men deal with that? Nope.) I don’t know if most of you can follow my line of thinking, but I, as a late Gen-X’er (who is equally annoyed at everyone younger than me making my generation into a fashion/makeup vibe versus what we really were-the anti-establishment)-idk -I feel that most people you get than me missed our point-it wasn’t just Supermodels and brown lipstick. In any case, As someone older (with money-well earned) I just can’t get behind people like this. I definitely make choices beyond the superficial. For instance-yea, I could save $ at Walmart, but-the long-term and sort of cattle call of it all doesn’t resonate with my 90’s philosophy.
I just feel like people “Box and bag” generations. I can’t support that dude. I don’t care how great his products are.
