The lesson is always take 2 damage to deal 5 unless it's going to kill you.
Another lesson would be to never chance a weak rule. I mean come on, throwing dice is 100% take :/
If you do happen to ever want to become a Bear again, you might want to take off any equipment you think might be useful as a bear, as the equipment in your backpack stays after the transformation.
Imagine the terror of seeing a bear running after you with a pair of nunchucks...
Or, with the right modifiers, a flamethrower, broadsword and plasmagun

If possible, maybe a bear with... a hall of mirrors, covered in bandages, and casts teleportation spells.
when you rerolled the super rare Val rule i died slightly
I died nearly completely because bear Val IS actually REALLY FUN and also easier than one would think.
Coming from the guy who got bear+Val
And challenged the universe by asking "What's the worst that could happen?"
Historically, this statement has a strong correlation with the worst possible thing happening.
And continues to roll something way more crippling

Came across this game recently. Was able to make the Elimination Round a bear run on the 1st try. Definitely appreciate finding this series!

I got the bear in my very first Thief run. I thought it will only last one fight. Was so disappointed when I had to complete the run with it. lol

That uhhh... that buster fight was complete garbage. With those curses you had, and then the literal curse every turn, that was complete bull.
That curse was awful. 😩
The shopkeepers in this game are bear racist.
