    I saw a documention of this in german tv a couple weeks ago. The anti-gunners say something like "3gun is rampage-training" and the reporter said "he hits every target with terrifying accuracy" once...

      @mrhellotherehowareu1384 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Hans LPs I thought most people who went on a "rampage" was like someone who bought the guns spontaneously (perhaps within a year time span), then used it maybe once at the range, then carried out their "rampage." You rarely hear reports on exactly how they "trained" with their guns but I would guess that in most circumstances the guns were kept "hidden" because of their fear of getting "caught."
      Matter of fact, I recall that one guy who went on a rampage tried to sign up for a tactical class or range membership but the range employee thought he was so weird and strange that he told him to leave.

      It's a pretty retarded argument.
      No one trains day in and day out for decades, spending dozens of thousands of dollars on equipment and ammo to become a spree-killer. That's just stupid.
      You could spend far less time, effort and money making a dirty bomb that kills tens of thousands.

    To all you folks that think it takes a fortune to compete in 3-gun matches, it doesn't. You can literally go shoot a match with a $600 AR-15, a $300 used Glock or M&P 9mm pistol and a $400 Mossberg or Remington 12ga pump shotgun. Sure, many of the 3 Gun Nation pros you see on TV have guns that are well over $2,000 each and even way higher, but that doesn't mean YOU have to have the same thing to participate. The best thing you can do is take the gear you already have and go shoot a match. You'll learn a TON from talking with the other people in your squad and have a great time while you're at it.

    Not to be a pessimist but Newton's second law of motions states that objects with different masses will fall at the same speed, so when he's talking about how the weight of the magazine will make the ejection faster than a non extended mag, he's actually mistaken. #Physics101 8:25

    Is Chris running steel case in his AR? It looks like it.
    I'm not making a judgement. I know there are many "experts" that poo-poo the idea of steel in an AR. I've done my fair bit of reading and personal experience showing that steel is fine. I'm wanting to know if what I see is correct though. Certainly his ammo budget is much larger than mine. I want to know if he uses steel case to practice and brass for competition, or if he just runs steel all the time. Certainly make the practicing costs easier to deal with. But what should a non=sponsored shooter run in competition and practice?
    Also Chris Cheng's smile is contagious. Been a fan of his for a long time and ever time he smiles it makes me smile. Pretty happy guy. Great to see these guys that I watch so much hanging out and having fun.

    A great video! I'm definitely subscribing to you, and I have a few questions for your guest.
    1.) Is that a two round burst setting I see on that AR, or did you merely use an M16/M4 lower with AR guts? If that's genuine burst fire, how did you get that past the NFA regulations?
    2.) Are there legal ramifications to owning a shotgun with a mag extension like that?
    3.) Is there a purpose to the different colors on the mags' baseplates (say, indicate different loads like in Die Hard 2), or did you just get random colors?
    4.) Would a Saiga-12 be permitted in a 3-gun event? Semi-auto shotgun with detachable box mags and AK sights, basically a shotgun that handles like a rifle.
    5.) Is jungle-taping an option?

    • @WranglerTJ02
      @WranglerTJ02 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      1) Looks like the 2 round 'burst' is really just a double tap, or pulling the trigger twice, he's just really practiced
      2) check your local laws, around me, you can't have >15 round magazines, but shotguns are actually limited by length of shells in the tube, here you can't have over 28" of shells in a tube, or 8 shells for a detachable box mag
      3) idk
      4) depends on the division, unlimited pretty much anything goes so yes, limited tactical, only tube fed shotguns allowed
      5) idk

    I tried finding a beginner tips video on Chris's channel but couldn't find one. I'm having a hard time figuring out some things so i'll get right to the questions. I have a M&p 9l with a ported barrel i'm looking at the "safe gun" rules and it seems to exclude my pistol with "passive safety" does this mean I need to empty it during a stage to "make safe". Would an apex trigger be considered an acceptable passive safety? Not sure if I should look at getting a magnified optic for ar and just run open division or look at the apex non ported barrel and if I swapped it out would it qualify for tactical class?(my ar has a holosun hs510c) Im considering doing some stippling and putting a thumb rest and notching the trigger guard on my M&P does this disqualify for tactical? and even further disqualify from open? New to competitive shooting not new to guns(lots of competitive paintball skills that would apply}

      Man, the guy literally stated that he's sponsored and that you shouldn't expect to start with the gear that he has. He even says that the most important thing is that you just start with what you have and enjoy your time.
      If you want advice on gear that most people can afford, I'd say:
      9mm: Glock 34.............................. $600
      5.56x45: FN15 Tactical Carbine... $1,500
      12g: Benelli M2.............................. $1,300

    What make and model of rear sight is on his Salient Arms Glock? U shape with the single dot? Like a cross between Trigicon HD and Straight 8 sights?

    Eric, our Man Can money hard at work! I couldn't think of a better way to spend it. Great vid! Though I'm not a fan of 3 gun at all, I can see the benefits of shooting the different kinds of weapons with a great bunch of people.

    extra weight on the bottom helps that magazin fall faster? the gravity have a constant acceleration of 9.81 m/s^2 ...

      Adam Warkiewicz the added weight helps an empty mag, which is usually light, overcome the friction of being in the mag well. Some mags are light enough where they'll need to be pulled out manually.

    The overall most popular 3-gun handgun is a 1911. Beats the Glock and M&P in popularity by far.

    • @MattGoesSkiing
      @MattGoesSkiing 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if there was a section where you would have to bury your pistol, the 1911 would be fucked.

    • @naruhinasaw
      @naruhinasaw 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Matt Canipe rare for that to be required. 1911 is just fine for someone who trains with it.
