I liked the new intro and the bloopers at the end were to die for. Way to compensate for the dishwasher height. Those leveling feet are definitely the way to go. I love what you are guys are doing with this remodel. Keep up the great work.
You would make a great teacher in a vocational school...you make it unstanderstandable for people like me that know it all...great job..great video..great editing...thx pack...
100% agreed! And the beauty of TH-cam is he's teaching so many more of us "students" than one could teach in 100 years of vocational training. It's wonderful!!
EZ LEVEL for life! Used them for our kitchen reno last year. I'm EAGERLY awaiting your video on the crown molding on the upper cabinets, since our ceiling has the same amount of slant. I said "I'll just wait til Paul does it first"
Didn't mean to blow up your night Paul! I just learned the hard way myself so figured I'd try to help avoid that lol. Nice solution Summer. Love the vids guys
love the EZ-level. I have only done 1 kitchen and it made it really easy to compensate for uneven concrete in my kitchen, all be it not as bad as the one your working on.
Working in a Hardware store/lumber yard I love your videos, and I SOOOO need to talk my boss into finding out how to carry those EZ level systems, and hell those face frame clamps
Paul may be the only cabinet installer in the world that scribes his cabinets to the ground and then also uses the most state of the art shim system on the market.
That flooring looks like it's from Flooret! And Lato is a great color choice. I installed my Flooret LVP almost 6 years ago and it's amazing. Their locking mechanism is great and it's been 100% waterproof for me. You guys will love it!
Paul - "I'M HAVING TO STRUGGLE BECAUSE I'M WALKING UPHILL RIGHT NOW... MY CALVES ARE HURTING!" 😂😂 Total Dad Joke!!! All that was missing was... "In the snow!! Both ways!!"
I love how you say you're a little nervous tackling this. I feel that way every time Im doing something like this. Most of the time that nervous energy helps me think things through better. You guys do an awesome job paying attention to detail.
I was looking for a better way to level cabinets and found your first video on the EZ lift system. Been a follower for a while. I bought the EZ level system for my cabinets and LOVE them!! Well worth the money.
Dont forget to trim that end panel to the floor height before the counter top is installed. Looks like it is scribed to the concrete instead of the finished floor height
Why some shops still construct lower cabs with built in kicks astounds me although admittedly, that's how I used to build 'em....decades ago lol! Best wishes for Christmas and continued success on your channel. (From a 73 year old who started a 2000 sq ft addition to a 1920's farm house in northern Saskatchewan the same time you started your garage project. Almost ready for flooring now. Hey, it's keeping me alive...) GK
Always enjoy your videos stud pack! Great install! As countertop fabricator I would recommend to put a ledger on the wall behind the stove. Running parallel with top of cabinets. There a lot of empty unsupported space back there. I’m sure Paul is already on it, just maybe waiting until he puts the sub top on😅
Love that your tape says Dad. When my dad used to do remodeling together he had to label each of the tools so we knew not to steal his if wr misplaced out. Lol😂😂😂
Thank you for a great year of entertaining presentations with the garage build. I've been giving serious consideration to making wall hanging base cabinets with mostly drawers for a Zuper custom look. The challenging part will be splitting a refrigerator and using a remote mounted compressor like in a commercial application. I will have a full-size dish washer and fridge in the larger than normal pantry anyway, but a floating fridge would be off the hook unique. I briefly considered adding a floating/suspended island too, but the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and I didn't want an obstructed view. I wish you and your family 'n crew a Merry MAGA Christmas !
Paul loved you saying I am nervous about cutting the cabinets. You are like most of us, but you are the craftsman . But Summer was not so sure from her expression. I will for sure have to remember the EZ Levels . Hope you &your family have a great Christmas & a Safe New Years. Also great video as always .
I remember when you guys first discovered the cabinet adjusting system. I was doing custom cabinets at the time. Absolute life saver!! Great video as always gang 🙏
Studpack if you can, have the stone fabricator do a 2" or 3" mitered edge depending on thickness of material. It will cost a little more but you will hide the subtop. A ton of commercial stone is still 2CM thick with a mitered or laminated edge.
Spoiler alert - it appears the flooring is Flooret Modin Signature in Lato 😁Great choice if that is indeed what you are going with. I just did 1200 sq ft of the Flooret Silvan engineered wood and am in the middle of 350 sq ft plus the stairs to the basement level. Flooret is a high quality product and their customer service is a match.
My 1939 house's dining room is the same way. Now I know what to do when I get around to making my built ins! Question: I'm installing the cabinets on top of the original pine floor. Do I need to put anything for the EZ Level feet to sit on since the pine is so soft?
I would have been tempted to empty the kitchen and dining room and use some self leveling concrete on the whole thing. I think you said they were replacing all the flooring, right? You could have eventually done the whole first floor. It might have slowed things down to start, but every step after would have been so much easier, no? 🤔🙂
I would have had to level the entire 1200 square foot first floor like you said. Probably take 100s of gallons of leveler. That was not in the budget or scope.
On the peninsula/island/stove lowers, if you screwed that paint matched panel to the wall and cabinets, isn't that going to lock in all those cabinets now to where you can't adjust the EZ up feet up and down for your flooring install?
Forgive me for not reading through all the comments if my opinion has already been shared. I think i would consiider using self-leveling concrete repair to the floor first.
Hello Stud Pack, why not use concrete self leveling floor leveler in the entire kitchen area and fix the slanted slab forever? Is it because of budget or other reasons? Is it a good idea to use floor leveler in such a situation or better not and why? Thank you for the videos, lot's of great information for DIY-ers like myself 👍👍
You mentioned you hate when counter tops are different heights. Are you going to put a sub top on the set of cabinets by the range to raise that counter top height up to match the sink cabinets?
The sub-top works great if you have stone with a fabricated edge. If the stone edge is the same thickness of the slab then the sub-top will show. No Bueno.
there's not a contractor on the planet that would pay this much attention to detail in your kitchen cabinet install. you guys are awesome.
New home prices would be justified if they were all built by Paul.
Well it’s his daughter’s house. If it isn’t right he will hear about it. Lol
This is the exact reason why this is my favorite builder channel on youtube. Just always top notch work.
You get what you pay for.
I do. That's why I charge what I do and only so one or two homes a year.
No call backs. No complaints
And all trades in house

Most supportive comments section on the internet. The best learning is from the most PITA mistakes. No ego, just help. Nice dude.
Summer is wincing on that first cabinet cut. I felt that.
Needs to use the hearing protection and give it a go.
Really love the new Intro, it makes the showed ever so more professional! Thanx for your amazing content.

@@lynnwilhelm7928 I’ve had it in a rental since 2019 and it’s okay. It scratches easier than they say.

Love that new intro, really makes me feel like I’m watching a really high quality production.
Based on an old Stud Pack video, I use ez-levels on all my installations. They work great and are worth the price.
Totally agree!
Nice advertising EZ-LEVEL 👌🏼
How are you guys not at a million yet?!
Love your content guys. Keep up the great work.
Living the dream and working as a family.
Exactly! We need to share with our friends to get them to a million!
That Intro was really awesome. The kitchen is coming along so very nicely! Keep up the smooth work.
It's amazing how you run into problems and come up with brilliant solutions.
Run a clear bead of caulk inside the drawer bottom. Keeps crumbs and dirt out. Also caulk the box to the drawer front to keep that joint clean.
👍🏼 I do that too: LEXEL tho. Also do it on cabinet boxes. (Especially make sure I don’t forget the one under the sink.)
I love how you say you're a little nervous tackling this. I feel that way every time Im doing something like this. Most of the time that nervous energy helps me think things through better. You guys do an awesome job paying attention to detail.
The cabinets look great. Appreciate how you share your process to problem solve.
Another awesome video. Counting down the days for the house build
I was looking for a better way to level cabinets and found your first video on the EZ lift system. Been a follower for a while. I bought the EZ level system for my cabinets and LOVE them!! Well worth the money.
Glad it was helpful!
Great new intro, Jordan!! Nice work man.

Was just about to type this myself :D
Love the new intro, and the extra touch with the bloopers at the end. I love your videos guys! I'm always learning something new!
Appreciate the feedback! Glad you enjoy the videos!

I like the playing card method of setting fronts more because you can visualize it.
Great system. The Menards cabinets I went with are kinda like this. All 4 legs are adjustable.
Oooh. That leveling shim is going to save me so much time on my entertainment center build. TY. I forgot about those (from your previous remodel)

Yep we did all that

Paul, your level of detail is unrivaled!
Flooret Lato 40mil? Good choice. Flooret 40mil is my favorite lvp. Sooooo good.
Never seen a slab an inch out level over 11’ that’s crazy. Great fix!

Love seeing your channel grow. Enjoy all your projects...Greetings again and Merry Christmas from Bossier City. ShreveportHandyman
Great content as always, Jordan excellent camera work!
Paul's attention to detail is what makes him da man! My only concern to hiring a random contractor would be hoping that he watches Stud Pack.
Paul sets a great standard, but you have a point. Perhaps Paul can do a video about what to ask contractors to truly find out how they handle details.
I remember when you guys first discovered the cabinet adjusting system. I was doing custom cabinets at the time. Absolute life saver!! Great video as always gang 🙏
Aren't you going to have to unscrew the end panel from the wall when you raise the cabinets to put the flooring underneath? 23:02
yes we did
@@StudPack huge fan of everything yall do! hopefully I can be 1/10th as skillful as y'all

I also enjoyed the hydraulic sound effect.
I used the easy level system on my diy kitchen remodel I did in 2014 .. they work awesome. perfectly level
Love whewhen you guys do kitchens 😁
Leveling cabinets on an uneven floor is why I switched to plastic leveler legs 25 years ago. Much cheaper and easier and just as solid.
Use push to connect until the compression goes on
All of you are the BEST. I freakin love this channel.
Another way to handle this is to build a frame that becomes the toekick. Level the frame, mount the cabinets, then scribe some trim to cover the gap.
My calf’s are hurting😀😂 great sense of humour!
Gotta love that fat fart. lol. Another great video, guys!
11:10 "oh, you went in the dado; nice move" "oh yeah" 😆

When you made that first cut, I had the same look on my face as Summer did.
LOVE THE NEW INTRO!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!
Appreciate it! 😎

Pretty sure self leveler can't go as high as they need, 1" or more?
I would have had to level the entire 1200 square foot first floor like you said. Probably take 100s of gallons of leveler. That was not in the budget or scope.
Great video! You make projects fun!
I'm guessing we got a whole tile and painting episode coming our way?
One word… Precision!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year family
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
Kitchen is coming together great. Happy holidays StudPack!
thanks Gregg!! You too bud!!
On the peninsula/island/stove lowers, if you screwed that paint matched panel to the wall and cabinets, isn't that going to lock in all those cabinets now to where you can't adjust the EZ up feet up and down for your flooring install?
Run a piece of scribe across the ply. Maybe even use 1/2” ply
Thats why cabinets in Germany have always adjustable feet.
Literally quality only you can find in professional DIY in my own home. (That I'm certain is a forever home)
I know you hate IKEA but their adjustable legs can account for even this extreme difference.
I’ve said it so many times on these videos and I feel so bad for Rad and Summer. What a lemon of a house
Why did this confuse me even more than electrical episodes lol
I was confused too :)
Forgive me for not reading through all the comments if my opinion has already been shared. I think i would consiider using self-leveling concrete repair to the floor first.
The low end would be halfway up the baseboard.
Awesome family thank you studpack ❤
About to by Flooret Flooring, very interested in what you think!
damn i see studpack and perkins brothers with the nice intros now
Why not use a self leveling 2-4 inch platform?
Awesome guys!!👍👍👍
Thanks man! 💪

You should see how the contractors build scools in NYC....it's criminal how badly things are built for the Scool Construction Authority in NYC....
What is a scool? Did you mean school? New York education?
@@skinlab4239😅
Imagine trying to sell your house to Paul! Would be a nightmare 😂 he sees everything
Ha... yeah it's a curse !!!
It is dishwasher plus the finished floor from the highest point in the room plus 1/8 of an inch.
Did you account for the flooring going under the dishwasher.
He said he’d have more then enough room
He showed that the countertop is going directly over the dishwasher.
Great job so far. It's going tobe a beautiful kitchen for your daughter. My only concern is all the wasted space because of the angle of the stove.
You mentioned you hate when counter tops are different heights. Are you going to put a sub top on the set of cabinets by the range to raise that counter top height up to match the sink cabinets?
That was the plan but we actually didn't need the sub top. Made it work somehow, it's all in the next video, should publish by Christmas
Are you adding some structure around the sides and back of stove to carry the countertop?
Yes we did
Nine second club. Love you guys.
Like button smashed!!!!
The sub-top works great if you have stone with a fabricated edge. If the stone edge is the same thickness of the slab then the sub-top will show. No Bueno.
Run the hole saw backwards first and you don't need tape
👍🏼👍🏼 I do that on wood cabinets, fiberglass, & ABS showers/tubs, but on the really thin stuff I’ll still tape… just in case.
@mattwilliamson1714 yeah. Depends on the situation. I've used the same hole saws as the video and not a problem
They actually did a great job
What a wonderful fix for an otherwise obvious screw up!
What are you going to do with the empty space around the back of the range?
Kinda like Fight Club: That’s the place Rad & Summer store all the guns they lost in that fishing accident. 😬
😆😂🤣
@ great idea!
Been waiting for this video
“And my wife’s got 4 kitchen aid mixers” - theyre actually mine, but my wife is a convenient fall gal! LOL
Love it. Thanks! But it feels a little like an infomercial. Lol
What is the bit called that you used to center the drawer guide hole on the face?
Nice!❤
How are you going to get your flooring under the other side of the kitchen that you attached to the wall?
we removed those 3 screws
