Bronchoscopy

Bronchoscopy is a visual examination of the air passages leading to the lungs. It is use to evaluate symptoms such as coughing of blood, noisy or abnormal breathing, or to determine the cause of an abnormal chest X-ray. Bronchoscopy is often performed under local anesthesia with an anaesthetic agent applied into the nose and to the back of the throat. A light intravenous sedative may also be given to help the patient relax.

Just had a bronchoscopy today. Was a piece of cake. I remember the sedation being given, then I was suddenly in the recovery room. I feel fine now, completely normal in fact. No sore throat even.

Great to hear it went great for you. What were your symptoms to have it done? Getting mine soon because I have trouble exhaling and alot of mucus build up for a while now

@@Sarahlovexox ok hope evrything gets better. I found out I have Babesia a confection of lyme disease. Not sure if is related to the mucus and breathing issue im having though. Im taking three antibiotics.
