They were made by Yamaha with no characters or planning and merely just to represent a boy and a girl, but Crypton bought over them after Miku, Rin, Len and Luka became a success. Somehow Kaito and Meiko's boxarts became their character models.

Well i talked to someone from Zero-G and they said that to create a V3 update for theyre 3 v1's that they would have to put in hours of programing, and apparently they are on a budget. But they are working on a new V3, Avanna.
