To me, Hylics 1 and 2 give off different vibes, I felt like 1 was more weird and almost uncomfortable (which I thought was an awesome experience); and 2 gave off a more professional and polished game with way more relaxing gameplay (and awesome music).

I heard a theory as well that originally the "new muldul" song and some others were actually two seperate songs, and the second half sounded like it should play after the transformation. The two halves of the songs do give off very different vibes.

It is great to see (seeing as the original game’s OST was uploaded by a rando who had Mason’s permission; sadly that’s now deleted) but the downside is that it doesn’t include fifteen unused tracks like the last OST, which we had to scrape out of the game’s files

The song's worth changing programs for, and it's a minor issue at most, but if you want to just have a playlist going and have to stop what you're doing to change programs it detracts from the listening experience and distracts from whatever it is you're doing while your music's playing
I appreciate that greatly. I've always wanted to be a better bassist. Having the opportunity to really focus on the instrument in an arrangement and being the one to call the shots on what the bass line feels like has always intrigued me. Thus, the song title suggests that the ancient empire ruled by Lord Gibbulus (presumably another name for Gibby) was apparently a more prosperous civilization than Hylics2 after the accretion.

My interpretation of the musical directions of both Hylics games H1: Lonely, traversing an unfamiliar place while meeting then new friends; the music is mostly very abstract, reflective of the world and situation. H2: You've grown more accustom to this place and traversing it with your old friends; a tad more traditional-sounding and familiar, but still strange, much like the world...again.

This is honestly, no cap, one of the best OSTs I have ever heard in a game. This game has such a unique flavor of music, its the type of thing I'd put on for a chill out-back afternoon of grilling and beers. This song especially I'd listen to even without any kind of game around it
It has the feel of a veteran RPG party playing stoner rock. They're all highly skilled, but also kinda goofy. Playing strange things around each other, but keeping immaculate time and lending sounds along the way. They don't need a hard break to pull out into full jam mode, and there's a beaten up boss left in their wake wondering what in the world he just listened to.
Chuck is a genuine genius, he made a (at least in my opinion) not very fun area of the game bearable with this track. It's very hard to feel anything but total relaxation while listening to it

I kid you not, the percussion throughout, the first “section”, the second section which added that horn sound, the pre-beatdrop with the change in drums, then the beatdrop. I swear I memorized this entire song, and I played that shit while on my fifteen minute walk out in 91-degree weather on a UV index of 6-7 and eating a Belvita. Absolutely phenomenal hour that was. I can play this song in my head whenever I want. I got the beatdrop right now!

I just listened to Herbie Hancock’s Head Hunter album, specifically Chameleon, and can’t help but notice the bass lines to both tracks are rather similar. I wonder if that track was influential in this song. It’s also kinda funny that the album cover gives off mad Hylics vibes.
