Hey brother thanks for that video you sent me awhile back, really helped a lot dismantling my BTS12, it was aggravatingly hard lol to get it back together again.
I've put over 500 rounds through mine skeet shooting and it's hilarious. It's not ideal for it due to the height the sites sit from the barrel but if you're just there to have fun it's great and I still hung within 5 points in 100 shots of my buddies with standard shotguns. The only downside is it's extremely important to clean it very thoroughly both before the first use due to metal shavings left behind inside of it and after every outing. After about 100 shots it will start to have some ejection and feeding issues due to the gas system being dirty but if you clean it well and over oil it it will give you plenty of reliable service. It has cycled every load I've put in it when it's clean.
i BOUGHT MINE FOR 449 PLUS TAX AND LOVE IT!! definitely packs a punch. I don't like the stock sights but they are fine for the gun. I shoot some XP3 and SST slugs and 00 buck and it dandles it nicely with no problems at this point. Both 2-3/4 and 3" slugs. Going to do some 100yrd tests soon
@@ІгорМолодецький-д8е Nicholas Hoyt, who has a nice response below me, describes differences of both. I’ll just add that my Mossberg weighs less than my Hatsan and takes more variety of ammo. I make sure I clean both as thoroughly as possible after a range visit. However, it’s much easier to reload the Hatsan since it comes with magazines. Also, because of the bull pup design, it’s shorter than the Mossberg, making maneuvering it around the house a little bit easier. For me, they both handle the distance I’d be shooting for home defense equally well. If you can, shoot both and decide for yourself which one you like better.
I can't WAIT to get to the range with it. Picked it up today for $399. I couldn't pass it up. I asked the salesman if they'd keep getting them in stock and he told me that it took him 6 months to get two of them and that they wouldn't be selling the floor model. I said "I'll TAKE IT!" I'd never heard of Hatsan before today, but reviews keep coming in, and they're good, sans a lenghty take down process, but that doesn't bother me.
Yea, same thing at the shop I got mine at, it was the only one they had and they had no idea when they would get another, I drove an hour to get it and it was worth it. for sure, the take down is pretty involved, but I thought that when I broke down an AR the first time, now I can do it in my sleep, haha
@@Reacher0613 Same. My dad was in the military and carried an M16 and refused to tear down the bolt for cleaning because it was too involved. I took it apart and cleaned it in a couple of minutes and his eyes were widened quickly. LOL. It's the builds and damn detents that make me nervous.
I don't know if you all noticed this or not, but the rear sight on the carry handle flips down to a notch sight, and I like it WAY better than the peep...Took me a minute to notice.
I have a 10 rounder, not only are the last 2 rounds a workout to get in the mag, but once the mag is in the gun it is so long that it looks incredibly ridiculous... and I absolutely love it, hahaha 😂
I've got one of these and its pretty sweet. Was pleasantly suprised that it would cycle target loads.Bought a rock island vr 60 and it will only cycle the high dollar 00 buckshot or slugs .Ive probly put 100 rounds thru both.Their both good guns, and the mags interchange between them.Thats a plus.Buy some of the 9 round mags and have even more fun.
Hello I purchased a BTS 12 and it came with instructions to tighten the barrel locking nut, however the firearm picture is not a BTS 12, and the barrel locking nut is not accessible. It appears that the gun will need to be disassembled just to access it. Is that really necessary every time I fire the weapon?
Mags for some other shotguns work too apparently. The 10 round mags are $30, not bad. You really can't use anything higher than five if you don't make it 922r compliment, according to Hatsan. The carry handle sights are not higher up, I measured. I don't think the choke is a flash hider, just a bit of a compensator.
I was lucky enough to find one at my local sporting goods store... I was looking to put a Panzer Arms BP12 on layaway, but then I saw the Hatsan. They let me look at it, I decided I liked the Hatsan better, and bought it.
@@Reacher0613 It didn't hurt that the Hatsan was $300 cheaper than the Panzer when they had it in stock. Really though, it was the controls on the Hatsan that sold me.
To the best of my knowledge, I believe so. I have not come across an instance where one didn't work. There may be a difference if you try to use, say, a magazine from a mag fed bolt action shotgun, but i'm not sure, it could work just fine, I haven't tried it. But, as far as the 10 round, 20 round, or drum mags for 12 gauge, I believe they are universal.
You know you didn't have to drive for hours to get one, you could have ordered it from the internet and had it sent to the gun store of your choice. But always check with the gun store first. The one I had sent to my local gun store they didn't like me doing that. They tried to sell me one they had but there was no way they could match the price.
Mine did not, BUT, I broke mine down and cleaned it before first use and it had ALOT of the thick grease they put on to protect it while stored, you need to clean all that stuff off and oil it real good. Thats what I did and I had no issues. The mags are also real stiff at first, so that could possibly affect things, too
Probably a dumb question, but I just got mine today. The charging handle always locks back when trying to charge it. Then to release it I have to pull the bolt back then press the release. I haven't shot it yet, will be tomorrow, but was wondering if imndoing something wrong.
Thanks for the review. Im excited to get mine in any day now. FYI Black Aces makes a lefty model BP12...if you can find one just like everything right now
Possibly, I havent tried it, but just looking at it, it looks possible. The charging handle can be installed on either side, so they may have made the safety changeable as well
I have another question. So I decided I would use the flip up sights, but just realized that it came without the hardware like the screws and nut. Did yours come with it, and if not what did you do to secure them? Thank you in advance.
Thats weird, mine came with everything I needed. I remember there were a couple inserts in the box mine came in, they may have been under one of the inserts
Were you shooting it straight out of the box or did you break it all the way down and clean and oil it? They definitely need that good cleaning and oiling
Thanks for video. Just got one for Christmas and wondered what is lightest round you’ve found will cycle? Tried birdshot/target load and it would not work. Had no issues with Remington magnum buckshot 3” and Clever T3 high velocity 2.75”, but there is substantial kick. Might just need to toughen up and get used to shooting a heavy load, but hoping to find something not as heavy so that gun is more enjoyable to shoot. Appreciate your input.
i found this one for 479, which im sure is higher than usual because gun sales are so high. its probably been over 100 rounds, no malfunctions other than some failure to ejects, but that was literally within the first couple mags fired, then no issues at all, and that was just using game loads, so not alot of power to get the bolt back, if we used slugs or buck shot i dont think that would have happened at all

for sure, its a Beast of a gun! Its my current truck gun, because AMERICA
I like mine, too. Almost as much as my Mossberg 930’s. Which is saying a lot.

Do you notice that the paddle mag release doesn't fully pull the mag catch out of the way???
