- TFIL stays overnight at the haunted Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia USA, a location that carries an incredibly dark & twisted history through its halls. The property is situated on 666 acres of land with 13 buildings with a map that labels where each of the paranormal presences reside. This is Part 1 of 2 from this location.

I'm genuinely liking this one because Elton genuinely thought there was someone in the room with him when no one was there (and he was blindfolded). It's proven that you can sense when someone is there even though you can't see it! that's why we flip around and look behind us when no one is there. (There is still a presence no matter what). lmao, I'm high.. love you guys

Veeery late to comment. But i just wanted to say that that's scientificaly proven too. Its a sense that we inherited from the caveman, so they knew they were being Hunt. Since humans are now on the top of the food chain, we don't use that sense that much anymore. But yeah, there's always someone with us. And its kinda fun once you realize Who it is, and why they're there.

Kinda weird haha but I imagine my dog (older golden retriever) would have long drawn out deep voice and neighbors puppy having some high pitched highly energetic voice. Lol!! I wonder what that raccoons voice would sound like. Lol. Maybe a 40s gangster style voice like the raccoons in Dr. Doolittle. Or actually he kinda looks chill but very serious.

IMO TFIL is the best because they are funny and no BS editing unlike those other big tv show production, their amateurish is exactly what made them so much better and genuine.

The “alarm” to me sounds like an old WWII air raid siren that may have been sounded when there was an escaped patient. If it’s a hand crank it wouldn’t require electricity. Would be super easy for anyone (hopefully not the tour guide) who knew how to access it to sound it and ensure at least one “strange” experience for visitors. There’s no doubt in MY mind it was a real siren, I just hope it was coincidental and not intentionally done to maintain a spooky reputation for the attraction.

To me it sounded like a tornado siren test which I still have where I live 🤣
@@teddy4life875 that’s not quite what the tornado sirens sound like in my area and they usually last much longer, but who knows in that location you could be right.
The town this location is in is very old. I’ve been there often. It sounds like the old fire whistle. Some small towns only blow the whistle one cycle at night.

I love how corey is 100x more confident with scary investigations. I like that this group doesn’t run away when a sound happens or when they have a spirit interact with them, they all go towards it and find out what it is. I love this group doing investigations together, & i’m glad that corey is enjoying them more because he knows he’s more attuned to spirits & stuff than the average person!
The fact that it said "field" "outside" and "stop" all in the perfect time alignment while Elton was outside in the field and he stopped in front of the window to scare others gives me the creeps.

I thought the same thing. That's what our tornado sirens sound like. Idk why it would go off only once at 1am though. I love this place. I live 2 hours away and I would love to visit or volunteer to help restore it over the summer.

The bedpost room story is heartbreaking. The intelligent ghost is like a child who occasionally had outbursts and then would end up in the more dangerous ward. They hanged him until he fainted, awoke, did it over and over again. When they knew they would be in trouble, that's when they put the bed post on him and jumped until he died.
I havn't watched it yet I always go to chat. This story sounds horrible. Poor guy.

As someone who lives right beside the asylum, that alarm goes off all the time around night. The siren also goes off at 10pm for a curfew siren. Sunday around 12:30pm, a countywide siren and pager test of all sirens is held.

If the guide’s shin scratches are paranormal then it could be from a patient running their ghost wheelchair into his shins. My dad worked with mental health patients for a long time and he would say sometimes they would purposely run their chairs into the nurses legs to hurt them.
(45:54) As Brandon is saying "I really don't know what that was" there's three screams segmented out as Brandon is talking, one after he stops talking, and one as Cory steps closer to the camera, Evan, Corbin, and Brandon while he's putting his phone in his pocket. The loudest one is the scream that you can hear right after Brandon says "I really don't know what that was" and right before he says "I bet it was loud". It's right in between his sentences.

That was not an alarm system alarm. It was the sound of a tornado siren or the type used in much of Europe during bombing raids in WWII. There also have been no Police anywhere using such a siren, presumably on their patrol cars. Why that siren blared within that building is the question. It certainly wouldn't have been a city wide test at that time of the day UNLESS, the siren(s) sounded inadvertently. Maybe it's just used as an added spooky effect but, I have never heard that siren sounding on any videos uploaded by any other groups who have done investigations there. It's very odd.
