Amazing recording. First of all, I like your enthusiasm, which bring us a lot of energy. Then your way of telling the story of this ball is unique, based also on your knowledge of the characteristics of a Polish dance and your understanding of Chopin's vision. You create a visual way of seeing what is happening on stage. Thank you very much for your passion, I am currently studying this work, it is very useful, and a gift. You are also a great musician and obviously a great teacher!

Truly another one of Chopin's greatest works. I enjoyed this whole hour even though I don't listen to the Andante Spianato much. I feel like this piece is out of reach for me because of its difficulty. It seems much harder than all the ballades combined. I hope one day to be able to play it! Great video!
I wish you did link the performance you had mentioned in the video here in the comments, the one in Japan, as I would like to hear your full interpretation!

Dear Simon, thank you very much! From my personal point of view the Ballades are much difficult even though I had thought the same like you before I had learned it. After you learn the notes it's easier to play than Ballades but of course technically it's quite demanding. You should try!

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial video.
I’m grateful to listen to this authentic polonaise rhythm.
I had hard time finding B section. According to your explanation, the section B starts from bar 77? I’d really appreciate it if you could give me an advice how to find this B.
    Sorry for more questions.
I’ve read this piece was written between 1830-1831. Does it mean Chopin knew about uprising Russia? It will change how to interpret this piece so please correct me if I’m wrong.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi! Actually it was written still in Warsaw, but published later. But it was probably the last piece of music written still in Warsaw.

any chance on a video on the allegro de concert op 46..? if it was the piece that chopin championed above all else at the time -then surely it has some musical merits...

What a shame there's no video! After getting carried away playing the Andante, you get ever more and more enthusiastic until, like the Coda, you almost explode!! Is this actually your favourite piece of all Chopin? I speak no Polish, but I'm going to watch the Polish video, so I hope its the same there!!!

@@gregniemczuk I said I would - and I did! I've never seen you so happy and lively. You really enjoyed that!! And, for my part I really enjoyed the andante accompaniment played solo like a great wave - and picked up the hint in the Andante about the Polonaise to follow, - both not in your English version - so it was well worth my while! 😃
