Orthostatic hypotension is where you get up too fast and feel lightheaded to a point you almost black out. Durring an internship, I asked a pharmacist if there was anything i could do to help me with this. She told me " No, just get up slower." So there's that. More you know.
You can briefly flex your leg muscles and clench your torso/do that thing where you hold your breath and blow, to force blood up to your head and it will lessen or prevent the brief dizziness/blackout. Works great for me, and also prevents blacking out while on high-g roller coasters. This is the same sort of thing pilots can do to retain consciousness when in high-G maneuvers (military jets also often include inflatable pants that squeeze your legs to help with this problem, but I don't think that's practical for every-day use. :D )

I have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which has the symptoms orthostatic hypertension but the lightheadedness is due to the rapid drop in blood pressure + increased heart rate and unlike other folks my body dosent return to normal after a moment or two. So going from sitting down to standing up gives me a 120+ heart rate and low blood pressure for ~5 minutes
Drinking plenty of water helps too
I heard once somewhere that there were two versions of this: one where your vision gets spotty/blackout, and another where your vision gets super vivid for a second/whiteout- and that these two states are indicators of low or high bloodpressure. Or being under or over weight.

Don't watch epic yarn, every once in a while I would think "wow Dan is getting the hang of it," then Arin will say "hey watch this" and then see prince fluff do what he was talking about.

I know episode numbers in the titles are gone because of the youtube algorithm, but does that impact thumbnails too? i feel like with a longer series it’s going to get hard to keep track of them if there’s no episode number listed anywhere

They're probably not gonna have longer series' anymore anyway. I suggest watching their streams. Two straight hours of grumpy goodness, and it's where they put all the games they can't do without losing a lot of money due to the youtube algorithm.

@@justinhamilton8647 I'm okay when it's just a one off, but when it's a series, I'd at least like a number as to avoid mistaking it for a video that I've already seen. I damn near skipped this cause thought it was just the first video. not to mention the concern of archiving. If I ever wanted to watch an old series, even one that's only 3 parts long, I'd still appreciate a number order vs adjectives like "more" or "another". I get it. this is all very nitpicky, but it goes a long way.

" is so far doing even worse. Even if you factor the fact that the sonic adventure video was older and had more time to get views, these titles don't seem to be making much of a difference.
couldn't watch gg for two weeks and those titles really do NOT help with catching up on episodes. IF you plan on doing some longer series again with this titling it will only be a hindrance for ppl who like marathoning your series like i do. at least put the numbers in the thumbnail so that i don't have to decipher what video i have to watch next. :(
I go to the channel page and click the "Videos" icon and it shows everything in the order it was released. They also could make and add to playlists more consistently.
@@emmab6859 yeah it shows it in chronological order but I usually like to watch episodes that go together. And true, playlists help of course, but I also think depending on them alone is just too inefficient.

i'm guessing they wanted to appeal to the algorithm and not have people who are new to game grumps get turned off by having to watch previous episodes. for the sake of archiving, I'd hope that they either put it in a playlist, or just add a "part 2" to the title after things die down

It means I'm not going to be able to find series on here anymore because every game that has more than one episode won't be labeled as parts. I watched half of the second golf episode yesterday before I realized there was a first part because neither of them were labeled.
Also, it seems really disingenuous that Arin would say *last week* in Anthony Padilla's video that they "don't chase trends because they just don't give a shit" and then pull this stuff. If they actually didn't care about trends they would focus on making their fans happy instead of gaming the TH-cam algorithm.
Chicxulub, is the name of the town that was located next to the comet that supposedly wiped out the dinosaurs. The comets' crater was then named after the town, known as Chicxulub Crater.

The crater you’re referring to is called the chicxulub crater on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico.

Hey Arin, if you're kinda blacking out when you stand up, it could be low blood pressure! It usually means that you need more sodium in your diet, I suggest drinking a Gatorade or powerade a day until you can get into the doctor. It's what happened to me and I got so bad that I actually fainted and hit my head.

Dude, Arin, try drinking more water. If you're otherwise healthy and you're sporadically having vision blackouts when you stand up, 9 times out of 10 it's simple dehydration.
I used to have this constantly, and it got so bad to the point where I would pass out sometimes. Until a nurse told me I just need to drink more water. Now I keep my water bottle around all day and I haven't had the vision blackout happen in 10 years.
