We absolutely love this video we do love begonias and I think I have 13 now and I said I was not going to make room for another one because I don't have room but that candy stripes is pulling at me I may have to add that one maybe it's time for me to purge thank you for the quick propagation tutorial we are really looking forward to that cabinet redo❤❤❤

I love every one of the begonias you've presented in this video but I must say the candy stripes made me draw me breath in and go wow, that is the most beautiful plant I've seen in a long while. Coincidentally, I just came home from shopping and have treated myself to a Begonia Iron Cross. I've killed two of them already so maybe third time lucky and this plant is a good size so may have a better chance of survuving. First job will be researching the care required to keep it happy.
Thank you Renate!!! I'm so glad you're giving the Iron Cross another try! It's definitely a beautiful one. I had one in ambient conditions (but we are very dry here) and it didn't do great. I ended up selling that one. My second try is in my greenhouse shelving unit thing (humidity not super high but higher than ambient) and it's doing just fine. If you don't have something like that, just keep it near a humidifier if possible or surrounded by other plants so they can give off humidity to each other (if that makes sense).

I live in the desert end of California (So. Cal) not the green rainier end, so in a place that is as dry as a bone, begonias are, generally, a no go. I do have one, the B. maculata... And did try a Rex begonia which did not survive, and that is as far as I got. I think I would have to move to Florida or Hawaii before attempting those gems like the ones you showed. 😳
