I'm SO, SO glad that Galen Leather offers their LOVELY products in that lovely leather which isn't the "crazy horse" type of leather (same with Traveler's Company: THANKS for their BLACK leather, I love my nice, sturdy black TNs from TRC 🧡) I'm just not a fan of that vintage, all scratched up look... To me: it's DAMAGED leather 😅 but for sure everyone has their own taste! 😊 I FINALLY bought / received their A5 zip Cover (Perfection 🧡) and the wallet to use in my black TRC TN... I wanted BOTH in their natural leather (ABSOLUTELY LOVE it and I HAVE TO GET the pen pouch in natural leather you just showed us too - SO NICE! 🧡) Unfortunately the thing I was afraid of turned into reality: The black color from my TN left marks on the undyed Galen Leather wallet (BTW: I'm wondering if it's exactly the same as the "weeks cover" you've bought - looks EXACTLY the same as the wallet I got for my TN 🤔 Maybe I'll try it out by ordering one of these inexpensive "weeks" from "Kinbor"... ) but THANKFULLY I saw that the black color transfers onto the GL wallet pretty fast - so I have only a few marks on it now that are THANKFULLY not black, it looks a bit like it developed patina in some places (which I'm pretty sad about anyways... 😕) - but I'll try to darken the wallet's leather with using "Renapur" on it and laying it into the sun for a few hours regularly to help with developing patina faster, I HOPE SO MUCH that the "marks" will be less to not visible anymore, as it gets darker! 🙏🏼 Ughh... How could I put (uncoated) black - and undyed leather DIRERCTLY "onto" each other... That was pretty.... Dumb... I kinda NEED to have 3 Inserts in my Black TN bc I'm using it as my main planner (never thought planning in a TN would work SO WELL! 🧡) So If I've kept the GL wallet in it - I'd have to take out one insert that I REALLY need in it bc the overhang was just too much (not bothered by a bit of overhang, it actually looked pretty nice when I added that undyed leather charm from BK to kind of match the wallets overhang! 🧡) But... Since there is more than one reason I just can't have the GL wallet in my Black TN - it's the PERFECT excuse to finally buy a STUNNING TN made out of undyed leather from EternalLeatherGoods! 🤣🤣🤣 - it has EVERYTHING that I'm missing in the TRC / TRF Traveler's Notebooks: Lovely big clasp with closure botton "inside" - INSIDE POCKETS 🙏🏼 - Pen Loop (always hated the TRC ones) and more than ONE string, so no more rubber bands needed to put the inserts together 🙏🏼 Van der Spek and Gillio for example, both have a similar "type" of TN, but since Gillio calls their costumers "Gillionaires" (I mean... Wtf?! 🤣 This is so awkward and kind of embarrassing 🤣 and their "lives" with their "dancing" is SO awkward too, I just don't want to become a "Gillionaire" 🤣🤣🤣) And the "Nomad" from Van der Spek... It looks very nice, I read EVERYWHERE that the leather they're using is REALLY nice PLUS it's nice that you have the option to personalize them a bit like choosing a different leather for the inside 🤔 But I'm 100% sure after comparing them to each other that I'm going to choose the lovely TN from EternalLeatherGoods 🧡 it's so... SPECIAL, it patinas beautifully and the craftsmanship just looks AMAZING! 🙏🏼 I'm sure I'll find usage for my TRC / TRF Notebooks... I kind of have a love / hate relationship with them 😆 - the ONE string is pretty annoying sometimes BUT it's quite a good thing at the same time, that you just have that one piece of leather with that one string: you can personalize them by using their pockets, folders, ALL the different inserts until you have a TN that COMPLETELY fits your needs 🧡 Their "special" editions are always exciting - love the Kyoto! 🧡 Why do I tell you that - I love and follow your insta for a long time and OBVIOUSLY know how these work! 😅 BUT.... LESSON LEARNED from the Galenleather "Fail": I'll stick to their "original" products made for the TRC TNs when I'm using them. When I took out the Galen Leather Wallet and put it together with their "own" add ons - it was so much fun to set it up again - i think I'll ALWAYS have keep at least one TN from TRC in my setup I'm using. Aaaaalright. Wow.... Actually I just wanted to say that it's nice that you made a detailed video of your purchase 😅🙈 - and that I'm already excited for more videos from yours! 🧡 Now you're updated (in every possible way about my latest stationary "struggles" AND My stationary "plans" - my comment escalated a BIT too quickly! 😆🙈

I was gifted a Galen leather cover for my B6 slim and absolutely love it. Like you, I'm a big fan of the undyed / natural leather. I want to add more of the undyed leather covers to the rest of my planners. Enjoy using all your leather goods!
I love the look of their zipped folio but 2 things bug me - 1) I know how over time elastic "goes" - eg if you have an old moleskine you'll find after some years the elastic goes all loose. I worry this could happen to the pen loops. 2) I'm surprised they haven't found a way to accommodate a Traveler's factory notebook - they've got every popular journalling option except for that. If anyone has had the folio for many years and reads this, please let me know how the pen loops held up ;-)
Someone commented on my video that they would turn their clips to the side. Yeah, well, I glad they did because I clearly didn't think of that to prevent bulk.
