I have a few of their items and I really love them. I always get my new pieces from Vanness. As you said here, Vanness gives you the zippered protection bags but none of the freebies. I've tried buying second hand but these really do keep their value well so finding a good deal that's drastically less than brand new from a local vendor is tough. They are awesome, quality pieces and I can def see them lasting my lifetime with proper love.
I have the 10 pen holder in the Hunter Green color, the Natural leather slip-n-zip, and the A5 folio in Grey. All of them are lovely and I use them regularly, the A5 folio is my everyday office notebook. They definitely can be tight when you first get them, but mine have loosened up a bit with use to my liking.
For anyone concerned: if you are buying second hand and shipping charges make or break your decision, Galen's shipping is pretty comparable to what you'd pay for shipping on Mercari. America doesn't pay overseas duty for anything under $600...could be $800 🤔. Galen's shop seems to always have a great selection on hand. Those new colors are BEAUTIFUL too!

I really enjoyed how you added those small real-life usage details. I was looking at the 10-pen case last month. It looks really good! I wish Galen would sell the board independently of the Slip-n-zip.
I’m so glad this was helpful! I like to be honest about what’s good and what’s not. If you decided to go with the slip-n-zip, you could always use the pouch for something else!

I feel the same about the 5 pen zip case.. not large enough for a notebook. The A5 10 pen zip case is plenty large for a thicker notebook, which I love. Not as compact though obviously. Cool vid.

I love all my Galen Leather goods! They are well made. And as with all leather it will soften over time and give a bit more room.

I love Galen leather! I have a two pen zipped case which is great to just take in a small bag, the slip and zip in green which I really like and the six pen case in crazy horse brown which I really love. I have a tiny notebook in there too and it is not too tight……. I liked the look of the Weeks slim cover…. maybe a future purchase …. 🤣….and I have three of the single pen sleeve freebies too……. It’s a lovely company to deal with and the shipping is reasonable and very quick to the UK …… really enjoyed your collection x

I am so happy that I am not the only one who noticed that it is a bit difficult to shut the 10-pen case at first. Mine has loosened up over time, but I still worry about leaving a pen as big as my Benu Euphoria in there. For now, it houses my Kaweco Sports, Safaris, AL-Star, and Metropolitain. One thing that has helped is having the pens top-to-bottom so the clips are not pushing against one another.
I would also say that the ordering direct from Galen Leather Co. can definitely be worth the shipping for the goodies. In just one order, I received a zip pouch, a sticker sheet just like yours, Turkish coffee, some tea, and an extra leather sleeve. I was so impressed by the care and effort they put into their packing! When I have more room in the stationery budget, I will buy another product from them, especially with that radiant ocean blue leather. 😄
I agree that it's so worth it to order from them directly! Shipping is really quite reasonable, considering the things are coming from Turkey. That's a good idea to put pens top-to-bottom. I do turn all of my pens so that the clips are mostly to the side so they don't bulk up the case. I've found that works pretty well! And yes, that ocean blue leather is gorgeous!

If you plan to put a notebook in it, just know it’s got to be a very slim one, at least until it stretches a bit. But it’s super nice quality! Thank you Faye!
@@gingerpeachy That was my idea to include with the new Sterling Ink passport size booklet. But now I am not sure if I will get the case or not, since I already have the Yuruliku flat pen case that I am using with a passport size notebook in one side and the pens on the other side, but what I don’t like about that case is that the pens touch each other and the Yuruliku 3 pen case doesn’t accommodate a passport size notebook. I know these are all “first world problems” but I am too picky about some things, there goes that CPA brain again. 😂
I don’t think that’s too picky! There are enough options out there that we can usually be picky until we find exactly what works for us.

I have the same 10 pen case as you. I love it and all my Galen Leather products. I’m hoping to get the A5 folio soon. Is your Weeks a regular size or a mega that you have in the slim cover? Thanks for the video!
The A5 folio looks so good! My weeks is the regular. But these are made to fit either size. If I push my weeks all the way into the cover, there is some space inside the cover at the spine. The website says “weeks/mega weeks!” Thank you so much!
