It must be a real education for the children to grow up in/with a castle since the last couple of generations because they are constantly faced with the reality of it, the need for solutions and the 'gestion' of the place. Some people imagine it's some sort of privileged life when it's bloody hard work and often a lot of worry. People who live in 'normal' houses can have no idea. I knew quite a few 'aristocrats' in England who spent their lives in rubber boots and jeeps, getting up at dawn, eating in the kitchen etc. My house and small park in France for one person is more than I ever had and it's constant work and not much rest so I can only imagine times 50! I couldn't go back to a 'normal' house, not so much FUN !

@@ChateautenBerghe If you are invited to a country house in England the first thing in the holdall is rubber boots 'wellies' followed but socks and a thick sweater or cardigan! Forget the gold sandales, country life happens as much outside as inside. xxxxx Happy xmas lovely family !

Castle ten Berghe This year when you remove the tree, lay it on a sheet and pull it out of the Castle. It saves in clean up and the needles stay on the sheet. 🙂

Oh my, Maxime has grown so fast… your children are really adorable!!! 😊 😊 How time flies so fast. I remember your last Christmas tree 🎄 You did have problems with the messy pine needles. What we used to do after the Christmas season, we would wrap the tree with old bed sheets, then take out the tree, w/ lesser mess. Just a helpful tip.

Our trees are so different. We don’t have a tree with the almost bare top with goes so high. It’s very beautiful and your children are adorable.
